I'm intrigued. I was in Havana last week and the gentleman working at the Palacio de la Artesania shop mentioned they were going to release a "special" SCDLH to coincide with the city's 500 year anniversary this month. At the time I figured he was talking about the elusive Prado. Maybe some of our fine friends here can confirm this during the Partagas escapade next week.

There’s a new Edición Regional arriving in Cuba, the San Cristóbal de la Habana La Cabaña ER Cuba.

The cigar measures 6 1/10 inches long (155 mm) with a 50 ring gauge, a robusto extra vitola known as the Dobles or Dobles (T) that is shared with the Montecristo Double Edmundo and a number of other Edición Regional releases.

It becomes the sixth Edición Regional release for the island:

It comes packed in 10-count boxes that are slated to be made available beginning Friday afternoon. Pricing has not yet been announced, and e-mails to Habanos S.A. have not yet been returned.

The San Cristóbal de la Habana line has been the recipient of a number of new and limited editions recently, including the San Cristóbal de la Habana Prado, a 5 x 50 petit piramídes for La Casa del Habano and Habanos Specialist retailers; the 20 Aniversario, a 6 3/8 x 52 double robusto that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the brand and will be available just at LCDHs; and the San Cristóbal de La Habana 1519, a 6 3/4 x 57 double robusto that celebrates the 500th anniversary of the founding of the city of Havana. None of those cigars have been released yet, however.

This is an excerpt from Punch La Isla ER Cuba 2018 announcement. This is not a 2019 release, this is a lost 2018 release. It looks like Halfwheel got the information from the Knokke store...

Was already out in pre-production a year ago, saw it and got a pre-production banded stick to try back then.
I believed it would be released for the Nov. 2019 500th Anniv. of Havana, but seems like released now with sights on the 2020 Festival del Habano.

My guess is it will not be much available in stores in HAV - but the Punch La Isla is there in huge quantities waiting to be picked up....

Can anyone on the ground in Havana confirm if these SCDLH ER Cuba are being sold in stores? I have relatives going this week and would love for them to bring me a couple boxes.

If it was due before the La Isla, does that make it a 2017 release?

Also interesting - when you click add to cart on the website of our Belgian friends, the maximum number of boxes it will allow is 7... quite a lot of stock for a Cuban regional that isn't even out in Cuba yet.

None of the coverage seems to have the total number of boxes yet. Would be curious to get a look at the inside flyer if anyone finds a box in Cuba next week.

They handed out singles tonight with the Partagas band at Divina Pastora. Mini-cases were in select stores and sold immediately.

Just got back.  They are not on shelves but they are in the stores. Like the La Isla, they are numbered to 10,000 and will surely be piled up on shelves soon.  La Isla were everywhere.
