Popular Post RDB Posted November 5, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 5, 2019 So, here is my mum, 82 years young, and four days after having a defibrillator / pacemaker fitted. Mugging with the Lusi that I am smoking now, her wound dressing just slightly showing. Just over a week ago she was at a Halloween party for local kids, when her heart stopped. No warning, no pain or faintness, she just sparked out with a full-on cardiac arrest. And at that very moment she was talking with someone who knew how to give CPR. Which he did, with help from another neighbour, for 20 minutes. Then the paramedics arrived, shocked her heart back into action, and whisked her off to hospital. I just made her dinner, we drank some wine, and my god I am grateful that she is alive. Cheers! R 23

madandana Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 WOW, reminds me of my mom. Glad that yours is still with us. Looks like a spit fire.
metro_habanos Posted November 6, 2019 Posted November 6, 2019 @RDB glad she is ok. My mother was IN the hospital for a few tests because she had fallen a couple of times over the weekend. CT, X-Rays, everything comes back normal. We're told all is good. She can go home in the morning. Someone will be by to make sure there are no tripping hazards. 2:20am the morning of discharge; " Mr.. Tim we are sorry to tell you we just lost your mother. She coding and we were not able to bring her back. Sorry". So, if you believe in a god, thank him. Mother was 79. And according to the doctors, in great health. 2
