So I’m an old FoH customer from way back, been out of the game for a long time but finally jumping back in.  I have a box of PSD4s I just picked up that are smoking well but I want to age at least half of it, so looking at the 24:24 as a chance to pick up a few quarter-boxes for daily (well, more like weekly for me) sticks to tide me over with an eye towards a full box of whatever I like the best.

I’m hoping you vets can give me an idea of what to look out for that’s been really exceptional and likely to be good OTT, and likely to show up again in the next few weeks.  Ideally I’m thinking a PC and a larger stick - maybe a belicoso or another robusto.  Already thinking I’ll jump on the next run of PLPCs, which I’ve always loved (I know they are really well too, if you can resist), and the SCdlH Punta looks tempting as well.  I seem to remember seeing Upmann Magnum 46s and HdM Epicure #1s up recently as well, and the Juan Lopez Selection #2 is one I always have my eye on.

Any input you guys have would be greatly appreciated!  Being in Japan jumping on the 24:24 in time is a crapshoot for me any given day (just depends on my work schedule) so being ready to act quickly when the moment hits is crucial.

For Q2 18 to Q1 19 I think a better question is what's not smoking well right now. Can't think of much. I had some 18 RAG I wasn't hugely happy with, but outside of those I'm struggling to think of something to avoid. All the cigars you mentioned are smoking fine AFAIK, particularly JL 1/2.

I really enjoy the hoyo petit robusto and hu half corona.  No idea why these small format smokes have been so damn good but they have been hitting it out of the park everytime.  Also bolivar belicoso finos, yet to have a bad one.

I look forward to aging them all but so far I'm not allowing myself to

RASS 2018 is outstanding, good smoke without aging

Really?  That surprises me a bit.  A RASS was maybe the best box I ever bought, but my experience (this is a while ago, of course) was that it's a stick that usually requires 3+ years.  If they're smoking great OTT, it really is a new era.

You can read RARW (Ramon Allones Review Weekend) reviews on the forum. I also usually postpone for 3 years and do not even try, but 2018 is unusual for RASS

I’m no vet but I’d put my money on JL2 and partagas P2 (sep/oct/nov 18).. and I have. More than I’d be proud of.

Perhaps smaller than what you're looking for, but I was blown away at how good the RYJ Petit Royles were ROTT.  And they continue to be.

Just dived into a new box of Bolivar Petit Corona MSU AGO 18-nice and strong but no harshness of youth. Recommend.

+1 on the BPC.  It was the first stick I smoked from a sampler pack from the store.  Not sure of the year or code, but I’m pretty certain it was an ‘18.  Absolutely blew my mind.  Everything else in the sampler pack fell short of it.  Purchased a few individual sticks along with the sampler pack. Among those, the CoRo was amazing.  Quite possibly the best CC I’ve had in the 3 months I’ve been smoking Cubans. ?

I've just cracked a box of Punch Punch MEG FEB 18 and the couple I've had have been fantastic. Bit of a reputation for unreliability but mine are gooood.
