I saw David Gilmore a few years ago and that crowd was not cool at all even though we were all old. Easily 20%+ of the audience with cameras on and phones up. Plenty of nut jobs screaming too. Not my vibe for one of my all time favorites. I haven’t been to a concert since. 😞 1 1
Ford2112 Posted May 25 Posted May 25 @Chibearsv Metheny banned cameras and phones at that show. Eric's show was really minimal with the cell phone thing. I hate the recording. 1

Dadof3 Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Paul McCartney just came out with a new album. Has to be some sort of unique accomplishment. Has anyone ever performed self penned numbers professionally over that many years? What I’ve heard so far is pretty good. Not his best but show me another guy in his mid 80s who could do better? Really amazing. He’s a historical figure and if you can see him I’d suggest you do even if he’s not sounding like he used to. 1 1

LaoFan Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Zhang Zhen Yue. Taiwanese. Was the first Chinese music I listened to that I liked. My wife surprised me with tickets to his concert in ChongQing this weekend. The rappers name is MC Hot Dog. Also Taiwanese. Probably the GOAT of Chinese language rap. Made it cool. 3

LizardGizmo Posted Thursday at 04:42 PM Posted Thursday at 04:42 PM I was reminded of this song last week on a local college radio station (listen free online at https://www.gobrave.org) that has fantastic rock programming during the summer. This song was written by Bruce Hornsby - who's one of my all-time favorites, and his brother - around the time of "The Way It Is", which had Huey Lewis as its producer. Hornsby then offered up Jacob's Ladder to Huey who ended up taking it #1 in 1987. I wonder if Hornsby wishes he kept it for himself. 2
