RupertPupkin Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Definitely not a weird flavor, but I remember the first time I had a VR Famoso and the taste of butter was so intense I was blown away.
MadMax Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 A few years back a half box of ERdM Choix Supreme"s tasted like a Chinese egg roll with hot mustard! Crazy!

LOL not quite the flavor profile you want in a cigar, but damn that sounds pretty tasty right now! Love that hot mustard!
ThePolskiOgorki Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Rosemary. Not a bad thing, it just threw me off. It was maybe a puff or two and then it was gone.

I think my sense of taste was out of whack because I tried 2 other cigars that same week and they had that same unmistakable flavor. Mind you, they were 3 completely different cigars from different boxes. Maybe it was a sign for me to quit smoking cigars...I think not! Do you snore? You may of just ruptured some blood vessels behind you're sinus
inter4alia Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Not sure if it qualifies as weird but I got distinct green apple candy (like from a jolly rancher candy) from a davidoff golden band 2016.

bmf30180 Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 I'm working thru a box of Partagas shorts. About every 4th one, I get the distinct taste of Gardenia blossoms. It is absolutely divine. I'm not sure if it is from the tobacco itself or perhaps some residual hand lotion from the roller/sorter/or boxer. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I got the styrofoam cooler taste from young CoRo's.

I’ve wanted to try one for some time now, but I don’t have any future trips to Cuba planned any time soon unfortunately.. I haven’t been able to find them and that is certainly one sexy lonsdale. I hear the flavor profile is out of this world.

Yeah, I almost wish I'd never tried them because they're not reliably easy to find. If they were a regular production item, they'd be in my top 10 for sure.
BG1165 Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Acetone. This came from a Crowned Heads, La Careme with about 1/3 left. Gut wrenching.
bpm32 Posted September 2, 2018 Posted September 2, 2018 For me the cold draw is an important precursor. I just got a cold draw from a Davidoff Lancero that was like those cola-flavored gummi candies.
HDGSN Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Got 2 new flavors today. Retrohale on a 2015 Fonseca Delicias: Gumball 2018 Partagas Serie P No. 2: Goat cheese and chives (!!!) - both the flavor and mouthfeel of goat cheese 1
yannis Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 vinegar! - sour and unpleasant and this came from believe it! cohiba esplendidos from 2010 I believe, many sticks from that same box were like that
Bri Fi Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Carpet. Can’t explain it but ive gotten it several times. Please don’t ask if it was shag or Berber cause I don’t know.

nKostyan Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Wild dried smoked pear (dried fruit). When I went to kindergarten, they often cooked compote from dried pears. Met this taste and flavor in Culebras. 1
