Ken Gargett Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 this was something i did for a watch site (i get to do the non-watch stuff) on the program. i know we have a vid coming sometime soon (???) but this might give a sneak peak as to thoughts. https://quillandpad.com/2018/03/29/cubas-habanos-anejados-program-up-in-smoke-no-evolution-and-no-complexity/ 2
havanaclub Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Nice write up Ken!! I too thought the partagas was the best of the bunch. Then the Romeo. I haven’t had the monte or upmann, and the hoyo was poop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JohnS Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Agreed, well written Ken! The piece you wrote stands in stark contrast to this other article you wrote up for the site... https://quillandpad.com/2018/01/29/believe-hype-cohiba-talisman-limited-edition-2017-cigars-spectacular/

Guantanamera Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 Ken - I couldn’t agree more with your assessment of the Añejados program. Think I will have a ceremonial burning with my remaining HdM Añejados. These have to be one of the worst cigar experiences I’ve had.
scap99 Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 This article populated in my Google news feed this morning. Pretty good stuff, thanks Ken. 1

grizzlee Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Nice Write-up Ken. Agree fully with.... Quote My issue is that they are simply unexciting and that makes them seriously overpriced. There is so much better on offer in the world of Cuban cigars.
NSXCIGAR Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 Very interesting that my impressions of the HUR were exactly the same as Ken's. I thought it had the best opening of any of the Anejados I've tried but the second third onward (in reality the second half of the first third onward) brought it right back down to the other Anejados for me--muddled and uninspiring flavors. I don't think there's any salvation for the entire Anejados line. We can only hope the HUR is the last turd to squeeze out. I will never be spending a dime on any of them until there's an enormous consensus that a future release is a vast improvement.
