El Presidente Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I have always loved the Thanksgiving holiday.....one of the few I would love to introduce to Oz in exchange for Lizzies birthday holiday, comrade Monday, Get the flu day and the "He rose yesterday" Monday holiday. Let us know how are you spending your thanksgiving, what you will be eating, drinking and of course, smoking! Post a thanksgiving photo on this thread and go into the draw for one of three samplers drawn next Wednesday. Post a cigar review (format: Montecristo 4 RAE MAY 17 : thanksgiving 17 review) and go into the draw for a box of cigars, my choice. The review "most liked" on the forum also will get a sampler. Hint,,,,,post it up early *start a new thread for each cigar review. Have a great thanksgiving!!!! *note: If you are not celebrating thanksgiving.........YOU CAN STILL DO A REVIEW 3
zepp69 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I will be spending Thanksgiving with my grandmother that lives about an hour away from me. We have had Thanksgiving and Christmas at her house for years now. There will be turkey, ham, dressing, homemade rolls, pies of course and several other dishes will be available. Lavon is her name and she is the sweetest woman I know. Has a touch of dementia now so we have to keep a close eye on her. Love her a lot. I will probably smoke in my truck on the way there, while there, and then on the way home. I do hope everyone gets to enjoy the day with friends and family and appreciates and is thankful for what they have. God bless and Happy Thanksgiving. 2
SGD316 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Thanksgiving is at my house as usual. Turkey, mashed taters, gravy, baked macaroni, green bean caserole and the like. Ill have a smoke after dinner to help digest. Anyone else ever notice that? Smoking helps with the overfull feeling? Happy Thanksgiving friends! 3
alloy Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 At our apartment, we will have the sister-in-law and her son, my daughter and her boyfriend. We'll have turkey, mashed taters, sweet potato mash with the little marshmallows on top, green bean casserole (the kind that uses Campbells mushroom soup), King Hawaiian rolls, pumpkin pie and blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream. I have my pants with the elastic waistbands ready! 3
Habana Mike Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Thanks Rob. It is a special holiday focused on family, friends, food and gratefulness. Of course we'll be having roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green bean, cranberry relish and gravy. All accompanied with a nice Alsatian Pinot Gris. Followed by pie - have to see what the BIL shows up with. Mom's here with us since the hurricane in Puerto Rico so especially thankful she, my sister and her husband came through safely. Never know what I'll choose to smoke until the day though most likely start with a mature thinny and follow the meal with something robust, not necessarily a Robusto. Will post pics. 4
anjimj Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Spending thanksgiving with family. Already picked a BBF from April 2012 as my thanksgiving smoke. May follow it up with a RG panetal a extra (love these) if I don't freeze from being outside. 1
Stump89 Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Always have a lot to be thankful for. Aside from the foods and family, I am looking forward to some great NFL action and arguing with my old man over who gets the turkey neck lol. Last year's thanksgiving smoke was a Punch MdO RE and it was outstanding. I'll have to dig out something good for after dinner. 1
Fatshotbud Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Thanks Rob - just another pagan holiday to some but a favorite to many of us!It will be "Belt Busting Time" at the rancho tomorrow Yes, in deed!I will post a couple pics and have a Libertador lined up for second dessert.BSent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk 1
Islandboy Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Yes there’s much to be thankful for, and I’m certainly thankful for this little oasis called FoH, and having access to the finest cigars on the planet. Really, how fortunate are we? It’ll be a fairly quiet day of contemplation and relaxation, just my wife and I...and our dog....and our, ehem, 8 cats (or as a friend puts it, "7 cats too many”. Notice I didn’t say good friend). I’ll begin the day with just me and my bike on some mountain trails, then it’ll all wind down from there with some football, cigars, beers, and a couple of tenderloins on the BBQ for dinner. Happy Thanksgiving to All! 2
Popular Post stogieluver Posted November 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2017 We're already decorated for Christmas, so the Fall/Thanksgiving décor is put away. Wifey and I will be doing Thanksgiving tomorrow, just the two of us. First time ever without all the family, and looking forward to the peace and quiet, eating turkey and dressing, and watching the Ole Miss vs Mississippi State game. We watch in separate rooms...she went to State, and I went to Ole Miss, so we learned long ago we can't watch it together. GO TO HELL, STATE. (I hope she didn't hear me say that) HOTTY TODDY! 8 1 4

Pagan holiday? Not sure you know what a pagan is! Hint, it is a religious thing.

fastkiller13 Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Thanksgiving at my parents house. Mom is making turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake; my wife and I made cranberry sauce tonight we will bring over. I'm not sure what to smoke yet. I just a bunch of stuff from 24:24 but nothing has hit the 30 day down time mark yet. Will probably just throw caution to the wind and smoke a CORO thats been in the tuppedore a week. Maybe the siglo iv I've had since 11/7. Any suggestions? 2

anacostiakat Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 We are up and the desert pie is already in the oven. Will be watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, Some of he dog show and football!!! Bummed that the original Miracle on 34th Street is not on this year. Croissants for breakfast. Omelet and bacon for lunch so there is plenty of room for the turkey. Cocktails at four. 2
Popular Post CrankYanker Posted November 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2017 I woke up at 6:45 this morning to the smell cookies in the bedroom. My wife has been baking for the past two weeks now with family gatherings. We will head out to my nana's today which is a tradition to always be there by noon to eat. Then we head to my dad's. Tomorrow I am heading to the cigar shop for a Black Friday Event and then we are off to Fremont OH on Sat and Sun for the wife's family. First year being married but both sides of our families have moved events to accommodate us. Happy Thanksgiving you all. Thankful for a great family! Quality Control at your service: 6
Popular Post madandana Posted November 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) Happy Thanksgiving to all. We started off the holiday Wednesday night with a couple of Negronis and I treated Hanna's boyfriend Tristian to his first Monti. 2 Today I will light a cigar just before noon and watch the Vikings-Lions game as Dana fills the house with the sweet smell of holiday dinner. My grandson will show up at noon to bring further joy to us all. I will mix up some old fashions as my parents and sister with her family filter in. Saturday Dana will make a prime rib and our best friends from high school will come over to catch up. I will thrill them with my superior knowledge of all things Cuban cigar related and our world travels. Then My conscience will force me to knock myself off my own pedestal and I'll have to admit that I'm on the very low end of the scale as far as my cigar skills go. I will treat my friend Tim to a fine puro and some Cuban rum. Tim is the exception to the rule when it comes to giving a noob a cigar. He will do well with it, smoke it to the nub and enjoy the hell out of it. He will be inquisitive as to the vitola and Marca and we will have a good cigar chat. That's where it will end for Tim until we meet again next summer and do it all again. He never smokes cigars unless he's with me but smokes like a pro. He is the one noob that I'll break out the good stuff for because he won't let it go to waste. My grandson and my Dad and I watching the Vikings beat the Lions. Tim and I ended up smoking a Jorge 56 custom from November of 2016. I sent Tim home with a care package Monti 2-Petit Edmundo-Monti 4 - RyJ Churchill-Party Lusti. So we can see what he likes and get him his first box. Edited November 26, 2017 by madandana Add pics 8

Kferguson Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Happy thanksgiving to everyone, up a little early. Awoke to what sounded like a drunk Rastafarian playing a 55 gallon drum with cinder blocks. Let's hope his playing skills improve as the day progresses... haha 2

Popular Post topdiesel Posted November 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2017 This year Thanksgiving will be at my Cousin's ranch. I will bring a handful of cigars for anyone who wants one. I know at least 3 cigar smokers will be there, so I am thankful for that. Well, I smoked the Churchill, Bro in Law smoked the Cohiba CE, and My Cousin smoked the Bolivar Tubo #2 (my favorite, TEB 08). Sorry, no pics of the smoking (too good of a time and too many cocktails to waste taking pics), but pics of the initial spread. Totally forgot to take pics of the turkey, ham, potatoes stuffing and pies... 9 1
Popular Post Buck14 Posted November 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted November 23, 2017 In the USA, corporations and many of my fellow inhabitants try very hard each year to absolutely ruin Halloween (OCT 31) and Thanksgiving (4th Thursday in NOV) by starting Christmas (DEC 25) in September. I love Halloween and Thanksgiving and firmly believe that any American displaying anything Christmas prior to Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving & my least favorite day of the year) should be lit with a slow burning fire for my enjoyment. Don’t get me started on those that “celebrate” Black Friday, I would probably get banned from this site if I gave my honest opinion! I generally stay up very late on Thanksgiving night to avoid as much of Black Friday as possible. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! 5 2
Bsonwine Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Brother in law makes a turduckin. +1 @Buck14. I have an ancient Lusi and a punch dc and some partagas 150s NC. They’re nearly two decades old so who knows. Happy Thanksgiving to all. 1
Colt45 Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Happy Thanksgiving all! Cigar today is doubtful, but hope to have one before the weekend is over.
