The RyJ pyramid anejados was a huge disappoimtment for me. I've only had one single, but I won't buy more.

I smoked 1 of a six pack I bought. I'm letting the others rest, but for a 10 year old cigar... Where's the beef? Huge disappointment.

Don't believe those aged as much as box codes say. Might be better soon

Thanks, everyone. Still on the fence. I have access to a decent deal on a box. But I have the space and time to do my own aging, so I’m not sure it’s worth it.

Any one who says this clearly does not have enough experience with aged cigars to be able to recognize a cigar that's 8-10 years old on sight, let alone by taste.

For me, the program of these cigars is pure disappoimtment  both in taste and price. For me,Habanos S.A. really

failed in telling us the age of these cigars.

I found all of the Anejados overpriced crap. No thanks. Not falling for it. Couple of singles of each to make up my mind and that was it.

I don't think there's any definitive challenge to these actually being aged cigars. I can sign off on the Anejados being as old as they claim to be.

The issue is the legitimacy of the program, i.e. are these cigars and the program exactly what HSA claims they are? Was this program by design from day one--IOW, are these actually cigars that were specially selected based on what should be specific criteria and blended in accordance with their purported marcas? These cigars' adherence to their marcas' profiles and the overall quality of the cigars have not been noted or high. And the use of the Revisado stamp is quite atypical and looks to me just to be a marketing ploy. 

I think it's most likely that HSA had a failed experiment 10 years ago and decided to stick these in the cooler until they could figure out what to do with them. Someone came up with the Anejados idea fairly recently and used that to blow these cigars out hoping that 8-10 years would help them a bit. It's obviously speculation but there's too many inconsistencies in this program for me to believe it is exactly what HSA says it is, the most glaring being the fact that these cigars are way below the curve in quality overall. No one--and I mean no one--has ever said these cigars were very good. Some have liked them but most have utterly hated them. And they seem bad enough to.have someone in Cuba realize these had serious issues and to shelve them until a plan could be devised.

The real confirmation is going to be if we see any more Anejados releases. I'm betting we won't. The program was a success in the sense that they blew out all the cigars they needed to as best they could. If this were a legit program why would they have only done this with 07 and 08s? Since it takes 10 years to see results this program would have been collecting for longer than one cycle. No 09 or 10 and it's almost guaranteed that the program is a sham.

I bought a box of the Partagas Anejados from a 24:24. Big mistake. Not on the part of FOH, but they were terrrible when smoked. They were all bitter and harsh when smoked. And I let them sit for 30 days before smoking one. Would not recommend at all.

I haven’t had very many at all but the couple of partagas anejados I have had have been very good. They are a bit too pricey for me to justify buying a box but if I had an unlimited budget then I would certainly pick one up. 

I find the whole anejados program confusing as they release cigars in a vitola that is not produced in that marca. I would prefer it to be more like the pcc vintage/aged stock that is just kept behind for additional aging. At least that way it would allow people to compare fresh vs aged and see what affect it has/hasn’t had.

I'll bump this one as I've just finished up my first Party Anejados. This one was given out at the Partagas Festival in Nov. 

The verdict: it was good. I did seem to detect a shade of the non-Serie line Partagas spice/earth I guess it can be called these days. Some woody flavors. A bit like a PSD4 without the creaminess. Medium to just a touch under. Perfect draw and construction. Scored it a 90. Not worth the money and I think just about any of the best of 2017s would dominate it, e.g. Punch Punch, Connie 1, Hoyo Epis, Monte PE. For the same price the Party Maduro No. 1 is also superior. 

I'll add that I enjoyed the RyJ Piramides also handed out at the festival much more than the Party CG. Would I have known either of them had significant age on them? Not really.

Agree on this. I think the Partagas is a pretty solid smoke, but I would never buy a full box. You can get so much better double banded cigars at that price, if that's what you're after. Cigars that are far more interesting and have much more potential. I don't mind smoking one once in a while though, and I'm looking forward to try the Upmann robusto.

They may just hit your taste - who knows. Personally, I didn't care for any of the Anejados (still waiting to try the Upmann Robusto) but there are people who like them.

A quarter box will allow you to make up your own mind without too much investment.

I just smoke the upmann RR. Got two from the Montreal LCDH. I feel for the Canadians, those taxes are just criminal.

Smoked with my good buddy watching the falcons give him a heart attack. We both liked it quite a bit. Seems very upmann. Lots of nut and cocoa flavors. Can't say it was too complex, but Ive only had the one. Nubbed it.

The odds are thoroughly stacked against the Anejados HUR being better than the RR or the Connie 1 and certainly not the Connie A or the upcoming Connie B or even the Mag 54 for that matter. This market is saturated and I think this Anejados doesn't stand a chance. It's going to have be an awfully special cigar and the Anejados program just doesn't have the juice. 

If it delivers it will be the ultimate HSA underdog story but as I said in another thread the chances are about as good as monkeys springing forth from my derriere.

I agree. As I said, I scored it about 90 and there can be worse things than paying $14/stick for a 90 pointer. Lord knows we've all paid more for less at one point or another.
