What are everyone's favorite dessert flavor smokes?

I've really enjoyed the sweetness and cream of HdM Epi's and Cohiba Siglo I recently. How bout y'all?

Glad @PadronFan brought this question back up, always looking for new stick's to satisfy my sweet tooth. I see a lot of reviews that mention chocolate and molasses, but how bout vanilla or sugarcane? Any suggestions for a white sugar stick with vanilla notes? Has anyone ever noticed this in LE's?

Not sure in CC's, but add a dram or two of most any premium aged rum at least 12 years old and you have your wish!

If you classify flavors such as sugary sweet, caramel, dark chocolate, molasses, syrup I think there are a few cigars that fit that category.

Most obviously, San Cristobal as a marca, but the El Principe most so. Whenever I smoke a good one, I just think molasses and syrup. I think an aged PLPC is the epitome of the sugary sweet caramel flavors. I also think Trinidad provides a sweet, doughnut-like character. VR has quite a bit of that raw dark chocolate character or espresso-like, but almost semi-sweet. I would not reach for a VR if I wanted a sweet, dessert cigar, but some might.

I've just never found Hoyo as a marca to be sweet. Creamy, woody, sometimes some clove and nuts. But not sweet or dessert-like. I also think QdO might be a dessert choice for some. Not necessarily sweet, but it has a unique marzipan (as Rob likes to call it) flavor to it that may appeal to some. And it's very smooth and is a perfectly light-to-medium smoke.

Thanks guys, great start.

I've never tried Trinidad's. What's the overall flavor profile? Is it similar to anything else?

What some have already said, my list includes;

- San Cristobal La Punta for me is Molasses throughout

- COHIBA Secretos or Magicos for the chocolate hit

- HDM Des Diuex

I sound like a broken record over these years where a thread permits but for me, one of the nicest sticks for milky chocolate/sweetness/sugar and slight touch of saltiness was the Montecristo Series D LE 2005 (Now clearly unavailable) how I miss that cigar!! It wasn't by far a complex cigar which is why I enjoyed it so much as the sweetness really shone through. I'd buy in a heartbeat if I could find them.

San Cristobal  El Principe by far over any other. Deep, dark chocolate brownie, molasses....magical.

Vanilla notes? Perhaps aged Cohiba or aged Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo line cigars, for me.

Trinidad, I find a complex marca with a variety of rich flavours. Coffee, grass/hay, spice, burnt caramel, nut in contrasting quantity depending on the vitola.

I also find the San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe a go-to dessert cigar. I find the aged Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo line of cigars satisfy the classification of a dessert cigar for me too.

@JohnS in your opinion which cigar in the cohiba line has consistent strong hits of vanilla, i know most of them have light nuances of vanilla but I'm trying to find something that smacks you in the face with flavor

For vanilla notes nothing comes close to an aged ERDM…

Yup. Was going there myself. ERDM for sure

The cohiba sig 6 has a creamy vanilla, even honey note for me. Too bad they are so expensive i love them. La fuerza, epicure especial and mag 50 are gonna give you some creamy sweeter notes in a similar format for half the price though.

I'd be more inclined to look for it in the thinner ring gauge (and longer) Cohiba, such as the Siglo III, IV, V, Lancero and Esplendidos.

I haven't had enough aged El Rey del Mundo to make a definitive comment on them, however, when young I have enjoyed their milk coffee and almond blend which I can envisage will give you vanilla as @Smallclub and @rhcolbert have mentioned.

@Fuzz How come you didn't mention these bad boys?

Haven't smoked one, so couldn't tell you if they were dessert cigars.

How about RE's and LE's any that come to mind fitting the bill of a "dessert cigar"

The Quai D'Orsay Belicoso Royal RE France has a nice baking spice profile. Lots of warm cinnamon and nutmeg aspects. Never thought of it as a dessert cigar before ...

VR Unicos are my desert cigar.  They are all tiramisu and molasses to my palate.
