HDM Epicure Deluxe 2014. Some of choc profile that others have mentioned but moreso waves of creaminess. Really dig this stick.

Parti Lusi from 2011. Just absolutely spectacular! The smoothness and complexity from each transition taking you on a magnificent ride. These Lusi's with some age truly exemplifies how great Habanos can be when they get it right. Could definitely go for a coolidor full of these!

I suppose this one stood out in at the famous Andy's Pub in Worrstad during the ANS :)

IMG_2621.JPGNicely done. How many do you have left?

A tie between a ROA Ago 2006 H.Upmann Petit Corona and a OPG Jun 2015 Montecristo No.2. The Monte tasted just so good after I was sick throughout August with the flu and I couldn't smoke for awhile.

Ramon Allones Phoenicios 35. For me also in the running for best cigar of the year.

regards

Lars

Man oh man would I love a shot at those along with a few others. I was trying to talk the new wife into having a layover at the Beirut Airport on the way to Rome. No such luck.

I could drop a few K in boxes over there.  So many to try...

I had a 2014 RASS that woke me up to the way of the RASS. I split a box with a buddy a year ago. I was excited when I got them in and very disappointed when I tried them. For a year and a half I thought the whole RASS craze was stupid. Smoked a few, traded a few and I was left with 2 sticks to lay down for a bit and just see what happens.

My wife and I took the boat out to go fishing over that weekend and I figured I would smoke 1 of my remaining 2 sticks while we were out. A lot of the time while fishing I don't give the cigar my full attention between casting, getting fish off the hook, and helping my wife, not much time can be spent enjoying it. I thought this would be a perfect setting to get rid of one of the last of my RASS collection. To my surprise this was not only the best RASS I have ever had, it was one of the better cigars I've had in a LONG time. I'm not sure if it helped because it's been living in a cab with other CC singles. Maybe that helped it breath a little. Either way, I'm cherishing that last RASS I have and it has moved to the top of my purchase list. I think a 50 cab is what I'm going to go with.

The cigar started out good. Had great backbone which I like and then something happened, something weird I've never had before. I had this extremely subtle taste that kept popping up in it. Fruit..... couldn't nail it down, then decided it was dark cherry. I'm still perplexed but all I know is that I want MOAR! I nubbed that baby and cried soft tears when it ran out.

LGC MdO #4 ULA MAY 15. I shied away from buying a box of these for so long. They just seemed too skinny. I mean, how could a box of cigars that skinny not end up half plugged? These have been gems. Perfect draw every time, lovely complexity. This particular one was paired with a grassy tequila on the rocks and the combo was just heavenly.

Which tequila was that? Never considered pairing tequila neat with a cigar (or actually, I considered it and thought it might not work).

Mine was these MUL JUN 14 RyJ Churchills. I just love a cigar that starts mild and builds and builds.

Nothing fancy, just some Alamo Gold that was on sale at the local grocery store. I wouldn't call tequila a natural pairing, but with cigars that shy away from the 'coffee, chocolate' ends of the flavor wheel it can be nice.

Love those ROA AUG 06 HUPCs, I just got down to the second layer in my box.  I have a second box ROA SEP 06 with slightly darker wrappers, do you think they have the legs to go a few more years?  I have other boxes that I can move into my smoking rotation so I am tempted to stash them away.

Yes, I do. I think I'm down to my last three or four. I have no regrets going through them lately, they have been that good. Aged Upmann can be so compulsive, hard to just have one and re-visit months later when they have that Upmann smooth shortbread & tobacco profile.
