Thanks for the well wishes my friend... I love you guys (I know, when do I show it???). I feel pretty crappy, another night of no sleep... This was a really strange hospital visit for me. It

I Needed a little rotorooter on the old ticker so they got me smoke free for a day. That means I smoke twice as much tomorrow.

I just want to get out of here before they kill me. I have not sleptan f'n wink all night. Need to be drugged into a coma to get rest at this place... Pills and pain verse peace and quiet. G

Pills and pain verse peace and quiet. Get me outta here...

All this crap when 8 hours rest and an order of biscuits and gravy would be just fine.

Smoke something nice when you get home - one of those "irreplaceables!"

Your feisty spirit already tells me you'll be fine.  But get the hell out of there, friend!

Brother Ray,

This probably isn't the thread for it but I wanted to share with you something that may warm your heart. I keep a small stash of stogies inside a ziplock bag in my work vehicle and enjoy one on the occasional break or on my drive home.

Today I had one whilst on a break and clumsily left the stash on my dashboard. It's winter here in Sydney but today is a very pleasant, sunny day. Luckily we've had several of these days this winter.

After an hour I went back to my van and noticed the bag. What did I find? Beads of water!

I took the cigars out and placed them in a new bag. See pics below and check out the water that was removed from the cigars with the temp change. I hope it comes up in the pics.

Thankfully no cigars were damaged (no split wrapper etc. Whilst this not an ideal way to remove water, I only post this to show the science behind what you preach.

You are a genuine guru! Lol

Hope you are recovering well.

Cheers,

Nik

Thoughts and prayers, brother.

Dad is going in for a heart cath next week, this will be his fourth time.  I know how miserable it can be, so be calm and get back home soon.

We're rooting for you. :)

Hope everything turns out well! Keep your eye on the prize (getting out) and think of sweaty cuban women... :)

You should keep an unlit cigar in your mouth at all times, and a lighter in your hand, flicking it over and over just to keep the staff on edge. "Please don't light that sir! Please! Sir!..."

Mend up quick good sir!

One of the Nazi nurses started to give me grief about smoking cigars (of course while I was feeling crappy) and after politely listening to all her BS data on the topic, I finally said, you know nothing about the topic short of your narrow opinion and when I get home I am going to buy two boxes to make me feel better!!! Then she suggested a 'program' and I finally said, "that punctuates your ignorance on the topic, and when I want further advice, I will ask... End of topic..."

Hilarious - Had liked to be present at that moment -   :cigar:

Glad to hear your out!

Sounds like a standard hospital visit.

^^ Absolutely, sounds all too familiar to me with reg. to some loved ones. These days, you permanently have to check and question what they are doing. Problem - too many different personnel with too much fluctuation, no clear responsibilities, lacking communication and NO time for the patient.

Yes as I expected, you picked up on the Guru comment lol

I was wondering if you were doing it tough given your silence on the board. Genuinely glad to see that you're out. They say that too many cooks spoil the broth and it must be unnerving when you're the broth!

Sadly I'm way too young and handsome to have enjoyed the retro Partagas SdC!

Take it easy, I'll be calling you soon.

Cheers,

Nik
