Behike prices???

Recommended Posts

Was checking another vender and saw that Behike's were back in stock... holy cow.   700 a box for 10 52's???  Are they that in demand/short of supply right now?  I was fortunate to get a couple singles at 33/stick 5-6 months ago w a BTO May 13 code on them.   Now wondering if I should sell them!

A box of TEU DIC 10 BHK 52 apparently sold at auction several weeks ago for $940, for what it's worth.

Behikes are hard to come by these days. We'll see if the market can bear these prices. My guess is likely it will. Never underestimate the amount of money people are willing to spend on cigars.

Let's reword the opening.

"Behike have gone up near 90% at some online retailers"

let's assume a retailer had good supplies but is running down on them. There are no more coming in and demand at prior pricing will see his stocks wiped out shortly.

He is simply pricing subject to demand. Unless I am wrong, current online pricing (at some vendors) simply reflect in-store London pricing.

There are no new Behike (that I am aware of) currently being produced. There hasn't been for some time, at least none in any quantity.

if you are lucky to hold boxes currently and are known on the boards, then you would have little problem offloading them at or near those prices mentioned.  Straight "supply and demand".

I have one left from a BTO 13 box, amazing cigars. My flat out favorite ever!! But will I ever have them again?? Idk at these prices it's not worth it, at the old retail around 330 for 52s yea for special occasions I could do it.

One thing that always bothered me was an interview I read or saw somewhere. In the interview the man, I can't remember his name. He is or was a higher up in the Cuban cigar department. Was referring to a conversation he had with I believe  Fuente jr. He went on to say that Fuente was going on about how they opus x had the most expensive regular production cigar in the world, and not Cuba. This aperantly sparked the desire for Cuba to take that honor back. While I don't know if this is accurate or not, but I would rather them make the best cigars in the world and price them accordingly.

I would sell, 2-4 could buy a box that will give you much more enjoyment.

Fair enough. I'd probably smoke one, get another liking for that unique citrus tang and Cohiba grass and honey and conveniently forget about selling!

Concur with John - smoke them and be happy that you were not forced to buy at those ridiculously inflated prices.

As Rob sais - this BHK-pricing now is rather "vintage" or HTF market pricing. New production, once we'll see it again, will be rather back to normal I guess (or what is called "normal" with Behike... haha)

It's certainly one way to finally stop people moaning about the Behike pricing once they're back in production!!!

"$300 a box, what a bargain! I remember in 2016 when they hit $700 a box"

Holy Shit!

I'm sitting on a gold mine!!!

Makes me wish I would have bought them years ago when I was in Dubai and there were plenty.

there is a ton of those in Doha LCDH going for about 960.00 US.

Selling them by weight? Cool, that's about 7 cents per stick - bargain!
