MIKA27 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Happy Australia Day Rob, Czar team and the community! I myself am playing it safe and heading over to a friends house where we will be smoking up some Boston Butts, Beef Cheeks and drinking whilst enjoying the smell from the smoker. Sure to have a bunch of people over there, music and hoping some good weather for a couple cigars. 1
SCgarman Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 FWIW, I have never met an Aussie here in my neck of the woods in the USA. Am I just unlucky?
kuma Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Rob is that a Goverment holiday, and will it effect the 24:24 program Tuesday / Monday. Thanks!

Fuzz Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Rob is that a Goverment holiday, and will it effect the 24:24 program Tuesday / Monday. Thanks! Rob covered this in today's 24:24 post: Bloody quiet in Oz today. Tomorrow Tuesday the 26th is "Australia Day" and it appears 90% of the population has taken today (Monday) off to make it a 4 day weekend. We are world champion bludgers Thankfully my full team is in today but we will be taking tomorrow (Australia Day) off to celebrate with BBQ's, cigars and booze. I will put up the 24;24 tomorrow as per normal but Di won't be back to you until Wednesday morning to confirm. Have a cracker day! Rob
SCgarman Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Depends on the Aussie! I did buy a package of Tim Tams to try as I found them in my local WalMart. Very good chocolate snack, great with coffee!
kuma Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Fuzz sometimes I don't read Rob's 24:24 statement at the begining of the photos showing the smokes he is selling. Rather see what is being offered first then go back and read what Corp. Hqtrs is saying. Time is of the ut most when ordering PSP stock. PSP's don't wait for the weak kneed / snail paced members to get on board. That much I've learned.
LordAnubis Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I did buy a package of Tim Tams to try as I found them in my local WalMart. Very good chocolate snack, great with coffee! The tim tam slam my friend... google it if you are unaware of this heaven. 1
Scrubber Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Having a family BBQ with lots of good food, drinks and cigars. Australia Day is also my birthday so I have the added bonus of always having my birthday off work which is nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
El Presidente Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 I am putting pork ribs on at 5:30 am for lunch at 1pm. All welcome 2
Habana Mike Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Happy Australia Day boys! Hoping you're all having a grand time. Been watching quite a bit of the Open so keeping local hours - Wawrinka going to take this fifth set? Enjoy!!!
westg Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 To all Aussies have a great day ...may we all continue to embrace multiculturalism ..
JohnS Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Even this guy below wishes us a happy Australia Day! 2
Scrubber Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Happy Australia Day everyone! Today was also my bday so it was a special day. Had an amazing time and enjoyed a 2004 Siglo VI (thanks Trevor!). While I would still say I'm a newbie to cigars, this was by far the best cigar I've ever had. It was so complex and smooth I struggle to find words to describe it. Hope everyone had a great day with family and friends and celebrated what a great country we live in. We sometimes take for granted the small things that make this place great and I think today is a perfect time to reflect on how lucky we truly are to live in the best (IMO) country on earth. Duxnutz Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Happy Australia Day folks! Spent today in Tasmania wandering round but got some Whisky and cigars in late in the day. Hope you all had a great day!
Bill Hayes Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Australia's oldest pub...apparently. The Caledonian in Port Fairy AKA The Stump. Unfortunately a strong wind prevented some diving and the most of West Victoria coast was blanketed in smoke from the bushfires across in Tassie. Thankfully got some ocean time on Saturday and Monday and a David Bowie tribute night at the The Stump on Monday night (which was very funny). Then made it home in time for the cricket on TV, a Holgate Temptress Porter and a Monte 2. 1
polarbear Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I had the gang round at mine for my annual Australia Day BBQ First Beer was cracked at 10am and what followed was a day of BBQ, laughter and cricket. I pulled a Tatuaje A (NC) out for the morning and then spent the rest of the afternoon chewing on my pipe We had close to 25 people show up for lunch and most stayed on until I threw them all out at 11pm I showed up to work this morning a broken man, but it was a great day all the same 1
