Sad News - The loss of a Great Man

Dear BOTL,

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of my father (aka Montaigut). He passed on November 23rd, in France, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. My brother and I were fortunate to have been able to visit with him in his final week and to be there with him when he passed.

My father was a great man; a fantastic Dad, professional engineer, intellectual, runner, fisherman, friend to all and a true gentlemen. He was full of love, life, knowledge, wisdom and had a tremendous gift to make everyone feel welcome and better at having known him. We will miss him dearly.

Thank you, Dad. I love you. Until we meet again.

I never find it easy to try and console those who have experienced a great loss. No one can really.

Dear HabanosHoser,

I was surpised and saddened by the news of Daniel's (Montaigut) passing away. He and Helene are real friends.

I remember when they came to Calvisson, not too long ago, we had a great time running around the region.

I also remember the many times we spoke and smoked a fine cigar together on SKYPE, we really had a good time.

I will really miss him. R.I.P. my friend.
