Trevor2118 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Here is something a little harder. Which group of cigars based on the standardised Common Names has the most current cigars. If you are note clear about Common Names, please see here: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/common-names.aspx The Groups are: Churchill Corona Corona Extra Culebra Double Corona Double Perfecto Double Robusto Giant Corona Grand Corona Long Corona Long Panetela Lonsdale Panetela Perfecto Petit Corona Petit Perfecto Petit Pyramid Petit Robusto Pyramid Pyramid Extra Robusto Robusto Extra Short Panetela Slim Panetela Small Panetela Nominate which Common Group Name you think has the most number of CURRENT cigars.
dvickery Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Petit corona The ones currently in most abundance in my stash . Derrek
CaptainQuintero Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 PC I'd say, the foundation cigars that rule Europe.
Fuzz Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Definitely petit corona. Corona would probably be next on the list.
btp1979 Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Plugged POS........ Yep! Makes buying blind an insane proposition. 1
garbandz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Definitely petit corona. Corona would probably be next on the list. Corona............only four of these left..............
Fuzz Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Corona............only four of these left.............. Not true. Yes there are only 4 "Coronas", but the Q is about "Common" name, not "Factory" name. As an example, the JLP Brevas, Cremas & Nacionales are all classified as a corona under the Common name.
CigSid Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Robusto My guess would be the Robusto as well...
earthson Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 PC. But I wish it was Perfectos (Tacos or Britanicas, please).
busdriver Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Although Lonsdales may be number one in your heart, I think PC is the correct answer.
Phillys Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I would also say PC due to the massive offering in the C&C category Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
tmac77 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 PC would likely outnumber all others by at least 4 to 1
Trevor2118 Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 As many selected: Petit Corona is the largest with 42 current cigars. Corona is next with 20, followed by Short Panatela with 12. Common Name Nos Petit Corona 42 Corona 20 Short Panatela 12 Robusto 10 Petit Robusto 10 Robusto Extra 9 Pyramid 9 Small Panatelas 8 Lonsdale 7 Long Corona 7 Grand Corona 7 Double Corona 7 Corona Extra 7 Churchill 5 Slim Panatela 3 Petit Pyramid 3 Perfecto 3 Panatela 2 Long Panatela 2 Double Robusto 2 Double Perfecto 2 Pyramid Extra 1 Petit Perfecto 1 Giant Corona 1 Culebra 1 2
JohnS Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Aren't there only 6 Double Coronas? http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/list.aspx?&specialtype=Current_Production;&commonname=;Double_Corona;&includeimages=True&sortorder=noorder
Notsocleaver Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I feel like those categories are a little wonky. The Hermosos No.4 are separated from the robustos, but the minutos are counted together with the petit coronas.
