I think most people do. For me, they’re pretty much the only NC I own, so they go into the same conditions as my CC.

I store all my New World cigars at 69% rh.

A couple weeks ago I found an aroma de Cuba in my humidor that had to be at least 15 years old (had the red satin band on the foot). I decided to give it a go and it was quite enjoyable. I knew nothing of them really so I looked them up and found some good reviews. Incidentally, I went to my local shop to get some butane and saw that they carried them, so I picked up a Mi Amor and a Pasion. Looking forward to giving them a go.

I store everything at 65% now and I'm getting a much better experience. Thinking about 62% even though it's special order.

I go 65% for New World cigars and 62% for Cubans & Cuban-esque Hondurans. Experiment and see what you like!

I would give them at 3 weeks at least to fully acclimate to the humidity change before testing. 

I used to be a 70% guy before I came to the light – I find that my cigars are less harsh/acrid in the final 3rd with lower humidity. It's also worth noting that I don't really own any sticks from the DR, so I can't speak to those.

I used to store NCs at 65% and then realized that they don't taste like NC cigars- at 69% they taste like NCs, especially Padrons.

Same here. 69% is way too humid even for NW’s imho.

Fabrica 5 sampler pack arrived today from a contest. I’ve been smelling the opened bags for the last 15 minutes. The blend of all the sweet tobacco aromas is amazing!  Will be firing them up very soon.  Thank you FOH!

A few pick ups while I was in the States. I managed to sample a number of cigars I hadn’t had before while I was over there. I really enjoyed the Pork Tenderloin and Wise Man Maduro. The Tabernacle Lanceros I’ve had before and always enjoyed.

Scored some Bond Roberts Petit 109s. They smell incredible and the construction and presentation is spot on! 30 day nap!

Stopped by McLean Cigars and snagged a handful of PG Gourmet series Connoisseurs (6”x50rg). Rolled in 2020, the wrapper and binder are from 2018 and the filler is from 2015. Customer service is always fantastic. Lucky that work had me within ten min of the shop today and I remembered to stop on my way home. If you haven’t tried a PG cigar, I highly recommend them! Very few NC cigars I enjoy and I typically gravitate towards Dominican. These were $17/ea.
