Working through my impending second divorce/separation.

Would the "loose women" in your interest section have anything to do with that? lookaround.gifrotfl.gif

Sorry, Lotus, couldn't resist. Been through a nasty divorce and they are no fun. Hang in there!

Bible study, church, and whatever else I just ask the wife where we're going and keep my three finger cigar holder locked and loaded. Weather should be nice, leaves are changing color and should be a typical midwest fall time weather. Love it!

The Mrs. and I are going out to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary.

First diner and then to the Lasalle Ontario Craft Beer Festival.

Three highly rated food trucks and about a dozen craft breweries will contribute to a splendid evening.

Cheers.

Working at it. Titans first season this year and he's just a pup still. I think he will be a fine goose dog though. Doesn't chomp the birds when he retrieves and huddles up in the portable blind just fine. Just have to work with him running down the cripples. One of the worst things ever that GF&P did was reintroduce the Canada Goose in this area as they have pushed out a lot of local ducks because they are so aggressive toward them (If you ain't black and white you ain't right). Not seeing much for local Mallards, widgeon, gadwell, teal, buffalo heads or Wood Ducks near to the proportions as when I was a kid but there is a ton of Geese instead.

For me tomorrow (saturday) is work day, starting at 5:00am. But let me tell you something I LOVE my job and I really don't care starting my day so early on a saturday and working for at least 8 straight hours with a cloudless sky with a hard sun hitting on my face and standing on my feet all time. Yes I'm that passionate about what I do for a living spotlight.gif

Oh yes! Delish! Californians cant get it anymore. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/01/california-foie-gras-ban_n_1638380.html In another month or two they will have plenty of fat naturally (they put on a lot of fat for winter migration south)on the liver to make the desired texture of chefs.

In my area some people just fillet out the breast and leave the rest. I like to use the breast, legs, liver, gizzard, heart and neck meat. The organs are pretty big compared to teal ducks and doves. For those the liver, heart and gizzard goes nice in a nice baked crusty stuffing. Gizzards are great filleted and deep fried. Neck meat is super tender as well when rotisserie or baked. I make a good jerky out of some of the breast meat, some guys think it's really lean tender beef when they first try it.

oh wow. kinda wanna find a place here in Toronto to sell that. i feel like that'd be one of the best things ever. i love cod liver by itself. on certain days when i'm too lazy to cook, i just open a tin of that and slowly consume it over 30 minutes.

Very, very fililng.

can't ship those, eh? :(

Unfortunately I eat mine and Game FIsh and Parks really frowns on shipping wild game anywhere. Pretty much have to carry it in your possession. Here illegal possession or taking of game (poaching) can land you more prison time than smuggling narcotics.

Almost forgot pheasant season opener was today.
