Penfolds is running it's Wine Fridge promotion.

6 bottles of Penfolds and pick up a quality wine fridge for $250 delivered.

These Vintec wine fridges make excellent humidors. Just a heads up.

That's an awesome promotion!

I don't need another wine fridge or humidor but if this was available in my area, I'd probably get one anyway. Great promo.

There is a promo currently at Coles wine distributors of 2 Bin somethings for $49. $150 AUD for good wine (6 bottles). Can't really go too wrong.

Who has one of these fridges as a humidor? I'd consider getting one just for the fridge. Not really a wine guy.

There's also a few on gumtree floating about. Can usually argue a good price too

Keep an eye out on GraysOnline too. I scored my Vintec 50 (new) on there the other month for $1,200 less than retail.

Ps. Couldn't be happier with the product. thumbsup.gif

The missus and I are gonna try and get one (I hope they will ship it to the NT).

I'm buying the wine and she's paying for the fridge. Seems like a good deal

Damn wish I hadn't already purchased my vintec.. :(

Just got my claim validated today ! Not bad for 6 x bottles of the $15 port ( which I'm partial to anyways). The fine print disqualified the cheap wine but said nothing about the port. Score!

Damnit Dimmers! I bought 6 bottles of 30ea something... I'd of much preferred the port you clever bugger! Not that I don't like the wine.. Just I didn't necessarily need 6 bottles leaning towards my special occasions bracket, my port barrels could've used a drink too I think :P

Yeah still half expected a rejection, so also had my local bottle-o call the promoter to confirm just in case I had to fight 2thumbs.gif

A question for Ken and those already with this Vintec - do you plug the drain hole and / or use beads in it ? As it is a so called 'active' system of sorts (as its a compressor not a thermo), my thinking would be 'no' to plugging the drain, though a few pounds of beads wouldn't hurt. How is it performing for you guys?

When I get it and set up, it will be interesting to see how the data compares to my existing thermo (logging has been showing steady RH).
