Knvb Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Whats your go to brutal day cigar...... Been one of those and i'm dippin into my limited Sir Winston Stash.....
Paul3 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 A crap day calls for a great cigar IMHO. I should think Sir Winny fits the bill perfectly.
Rye Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 A crap day calls for a great cigar IMHO. I should think Sir Winny fits the bill perfectly. Yup! I go for the best on the worst days. I feel bad for the non-smokers that don't get it. Last one was a VR Adriatico for me

kuzi16 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 on bad days i always head for a cigar that i know i like. i dont wanna take a chance on something that i have never had before. my day might get worse if i dont like that cigar. it may not be a top of the line but it will be something tried and true.

What's your tried and true?
Ophidion Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I either do RASS or something from my "break in case of emergency" stash of really old or DC smokes.
nikesupremedunk Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Cohibas are a special treat for me...on good or bad days.
Guest rob Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Im the other way.... I don't like to drink or smoke when I've had a bad day, or if I'm in a bad mood. Feels wasted if I do.

NMJoe Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I have a couple of cabs of '03 Des Dieux. They usually make my day wash away into nothingness.
kuzi16 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 as of late my tried and true are (just like the above poster) Le Hoyo Des Dieux from 03. those will be gone soon though .
canadianbeaver Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Something from my "best cigars that I only have a few of" box. Like a l'escepcion.
laficion Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I.M.O. GREAT cigar those" LA ECEPTION". I also smoke them on oaccsions, have a few left .
CBL Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I always count on a D4 because it tends to taste familiar, even when bad I know I'm smoking a D4. I always have one in a tubo when I travel in case stuff goes down, I'll always have my one D4.
Colt45 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I don't like to drink or smoke when I've had a bad day, or if I'm in a bad mood. Feels wasted if I do. Same here - except for the drinking part.....
jrb5783 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I usually go for a cohiba of some type as I don't smoke them regularly
dangolf18 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Crap day, crap cigar. A good cigar should be a reward, not consolation.
Troels Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 I'll likely reach for one of my longer cigars, like a Churchill or so, when i've had a stressfull day. Not so much for consoling myself, as much as I need time alone in the slow pace the cigar dictates to sort my thoughts out. Tend to smile when Im back in :-)
gigabyte056 Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 On shitty days I go for a run. I never smoke when I am in a bad mood, don't want it to reflect on an otherwise serene hobby.
Surucipe Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 same as rob and colt. no drinking or smoking on a bad day. just hitting the gym hard. ↑ This!
cigcars Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 *I'm with Dangolf18 and SmokeInPeace...if I've had a crappy day I really don't find myself in the mood for a fine, fine smoke... If I did smoke, it's probably not going to be one of my "special occasion" cigars. And the cigar would probably be to take my mind off murder (LOL, so to speak, etc.) if I'm in a foul mood
Pilgrims Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 For me a crappy day normally means late so I would go drink and a Partagas short - just does what it should...no nonsense
