Dbone Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 The advice I was given is to smoke until I stop enjoying it. I continue just a few puffs more just in case. I'm on board with this. I smoke it until I don't enjoy it anymore. Could be the first few puffs, or all the way till the nub. However, more times than not, normally I pinch the cigar when it gets to about where the band is.
Ptowncigar Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 The same as many others, until I stop enjoying it.
Pilgrims Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 if it is young then until the flavours back up and if aged a little or a lot then until I'm done
Random Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I smoke it till i'm not enjoying it anymore. Exeptional cigars get nubbed till i cant hold on to it. if not in most cases 3/4s of an inch to an inch This!
dangolf18 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 1-1.5 inches for CC's. NC's, that's another story. . If I'm not smoking Tatuaje, Drew Estate, Padron, or a HTF NC, I rarely make it past the second half.
Orion21 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 At least to the band and further if the cigar is good.
str8dog Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Usually an inch to an inchandahalf. I really have to start listening to myself when I think, "This is starting to turn," but I usually take another puff or two to be sure and then wish I hadn't, lol.
MC4 Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I smoke it till it gets harsh and/or tastes bad. Between 1-2 inches usually.
cigarsnlife Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I wish all cigars allowed for finger burning nubs. If good, I go until I can't. If bad, they are pitched. you are a nub fiend ryan!!! i rarely smoke a cigar to the nub generally
nikesupremedunk Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 well it's been said a million times already but usually by the last inch it gets harsh and bitter for me. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a cigar so much where you would need a roach tool to finish it, let alone throw that in a pipe and smoke it. I did have a couple that I smoked down as far as I could go, though.
AntiVirus Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 About an inch or so usually. Occasionally past this if its an exceptional cigar. Likewise less if its really average.
Steens Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 That is pretty much what I do. I will also toss a cigar if I am not enjoying it regardless of how much is left. x 2
OZCUBAN Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hi Guy as long as they still taste good and i can still hang on to them cheers
markmurase Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 About 1 inch normally. Till my fingers burn if it's a great one.
seanbeer Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 if crap cigar, whenever i think i have had enough otherwise usually: 4 cm for average cigar 3 cm for good ciar 2 cm for really enjoyble one my firend always nub his cigars, sometimes he even break the nub and smoke it from a pipe. clever ! and no wastage !
anacostiakat Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 The question Is asked, How far down do you go on your cigars ? I normally go as far as I can, leaving sometime's little as an inch and sometime's as much as 2 inches ,all depending on the cigar.I would like to know about you ,I said NORMALLY. Guy ^^^^ Pretty much the same for me!
stargazer14 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 As a reviewer for CA magazine I have yet to let a cigar burn past the first inch after lighting. : )
CanuckSARTech Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 As a reviewer for CA magazine I have yet to let a cigar burn past the first inch after lighting. : ) LOL.
maverickdrinker Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 never really paid attention....I stop when I feel its time...
David67 Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Depends on the cigar type, brand, age. Also depends on how I feel, what I've been eating, drinking etc. I just go by one cigar at a time.
