EZ1 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Besides the petite edmundo, and closer to the Hoyo petite rubosto size, what other options are there in this size? Thanks
jayceskinner Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Check out this site it's made by Trevor, one of the members of the site. There is a search option at the top which will allow you to find what is available in the petit robusto format. http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/index.htm
Tino Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Our hosts have the Bolivar Short Bolivar 2008 PCC release in stock, you could try those if you want something with more growl than the Hoyo?
riazp Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 In regular production you'll just have the hoyo petit robusto and monte petit edmundo. other than that, you'll have to find RE's for short robusto's
Hohenthal Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Upmann Magnum 48, EL 2009, Limitada Chocolate plus, yet still Upmann
Dimmers Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Upmann Magnum 48, EL 2009, Limitada Chocolate plus, yet still Upmann I second that motion! V tasty sticks the Mag48s.
Jeremy Festa Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Cohiba Magicos ...I have some crackers I second that! Also the Quai D'Orsay Robusto Embajador, an RE for France from 2011, are right on the money, size wise. A special little smoke!
ritan Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 And the Quintero Favoritos fall into that size neighborhood too.
Smallclub Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 In regular production you'll just have the hoyo petit robusto and monte petit edmundo. And the RyJ Petit Churchill, and the Upmann Half Corona… btw, it's "petit", not "petite"…
GammerSmokes Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Punch Small Club RE Francais 09. I must source a box! They only come in 10s though but worth the pennies! Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Justmi Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 Habanos released a petit robusto book recently as a limited edition case. http://www.habanos.com/article.aspx?aid=608〈=en
Lotusguy Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 It looks great but 135 euros for 10 Petit Robustos is just ridiculous
CanuckSARTech Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 It looks great but 135 euros for 10 Petit Robustos is just ridiculous It'll be like their Seleccion Robustos or their Seleccion Piramides samplers - there are TONS of both of those still availble. Something like $75 or so for 5 sticks in both of those (with four of each being standard / regular production offerings), is NOT good pricing. When we were in Cuba last November, I was amused to see TONS of these still on the shelves even in the Cuba LCDH's and stores. The only way they'll get rid of them is if they drop the pricing on them.
Paul3 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I second that motion! V tasty sticks the Mag48s. One of my favorites as well. I am a fan of the HDM PR, but the Mag48's are one of my favorites overall. Have yet to smoke one that I did not thoroughly enjoy. Which reminds me, time to order another cab.

CanuckSARTech Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Indeed! I will wait for that LOL. No one's waiting for that, Claus, I don't think. And, I just noticed that some are starting to sell these as vintage, since they're 10-years old now, and with a crazily unrealistic pricepoint, IMO. While I don't disparage anyone trying to do so with any heavy financial investment in storing cigars for vintage retail purposes, I think that with these Seleccion Robustos/Piramides, they'll be a HUGELY tough sell considering the amount that's easily on hand everywhere still, including right in Cuba.

Plus they actually taste extremely cedary after all those years in those boxes. I'd be a buyer of a box of the Selecion Petit Robusto at $125 or less just because the box would look nice on my shelf
