Hey guys,

For those of you that have smoked both, is there much flavor difference between the Asia Pacific QdO RE and the QdO Imperiales? Obviously they are different cigars as the Imperiales has a 47 ring gauge while the RE is a Robusto with a 50 ring gauge, but how does the blend and flavor profile of the RE compare to the Imperiales?

If you had to choose stricly on flavor, would you prefer the Imperiales or the RE? I've never tried the RE before and would like some feedback between the two. I know the distributors have a say in the actual blend so I'm not sure if the RE is a traditional QdO or if they are pretty different?

Thanks!

yes there is. The QDO RE is AMAZING!!!

I like the RE better than the Imperiales. However, the RE is really expensive and for that money I'd simply get two boxes of Coronas and be a happy camper smile.png

Strictly on flavor I find a deeper honeyed sweetness in the RE than the Imperiales.

I'm no fan of robustos and I have a box, and am thinking about a second one.....when I've been drinking.

I believe Art found the QdO RE so bad, that he pawned it off on me. LOL

Just kidding. Didn't taste like QdO.

Impi's all the way.

QDO RE's are awesome (particularly the French one). Never liked the Imperiales. Wish the QDO line were expanded. Would love to see a regular production robusto and pc/minuto.

For me, I prefer the imperiales. The REs were completely different smoke and tasted great, but at the end of the day I'd rather be smoking their regular production.

No clear consensus, buy a few singles of each and see what you think. But I do enjoy the Imperiales, as some others do.

I like both.....RE dont remind me of the Quai line....Imp are better w age than fresh IMHO but I think the whole Quai line tastes better aged than fresh

Get some singles to test

Both are fantastic. I find the imperiales is a sweet muted more focused stick. The re is a bold stick and more in your face fresh but not a bad fresh. Just that flavors are more fresh like.

Both have a place in my line up. Not that u asked but find the imperiales more enjoayble than the corona, which is worthy of a place in my humi also

Speaking of the Asia release FYI.
