I don't have a huge stash, I have mostly 10 count boxes since I wanted more variety but also have a couple 25 counts that didn't have an option for 10. I have smoked through probably 1/3 of most the stuff I have and I started getting an idea for what I like and others not so much.

Which box purchases in your stash would you re-up again once you run out, and what are some that you probably wouldn't buy again?

Buy again:

-Boli PC: Bought a 25 box, thought it would last me a while. I'm trying to hold back on smoking through them too fast, but I love these. Out of the 15 or so I had, I don't think I had a single bad one. Want to get a 50 cab next.

-Siglo VI: Love the size and flavor profile on these. Bought a 10 count but will buy a 25 ct next so I can age some. Only downside is that it's pretty pricey.

-Upmann Mag 46: Another cigar I love, and haven't had a single bad one yet. Would definitely buy again, especially since CG is one of my preferred vitolas.

-HUHC: Only smoked 3 and already want to stock up on them. These are amazing for those times you want a short smoke.

Won't buy again:

-HDM Epi 2: Smoked about 8 of these, only enjoyed the first one and slightly enjoyed the last one I had. Just not my thing I guess.

-Siglo II: Too expensive for what it is. It's good but not great enough for me to justify the $, when I can get a 50 cab of BPC for a little more.

-Trini RoboT: Haven't had a single one that I thoroughly enjoyed. They were either all too tight, or too loose, although it had a nice flavor to it. Maybe will go with the reyes or something instead.

The other boxes in my stash I'm not sure if I would or wouldn't buy again, I'll have to see when I'm down to < 3 sticks.

No more 50 count boxes of HUP 46. Last one I bought and am smoking through is USE Jun 08. Tastes like paper, nothing like the smooth, thick smoke from the 25 count SLB's I've had. Trusted vendor as always, but just a bad box, all sticks are uniformly bad.

I'll stick to the 25 count box that way I don't spend that much coin on a box only to risk having 25 bad sticks instead of 50.

Definitely WON'T buy again Fonseca Cosacos (or KDT). No fun. No flavor. No "Twang"

Have never found Trinidad (once it's band changed from the 1998 Fundadores) very enjoyable - for ME, anyway

For ALL the rest, though - Come one, come ALL!! hungry.gifok.gif

For me the latest buys to keep stocking up for current smoking and aging:

Havent had heaps of cubans, only had singles, yet to buy a box, but from the ones i had, i wouldnt invest further in;

HdM Epi 2 and Epi Esp, neither of them really had much going for them, both had about 5 years on them. didnt give much flavour and was just a boring stick

RACS, the one i smoked had about a year on it, again, just a bit boring

would invest in;

anything Cohiba, loved the Sig III, going to get more when I'm rich and dominating the world (arent we all?)

JL2, loved loved loved this smoke, was fan-bloody-tastic, everything i look for in a smoke

Will buy:

- most regular production with a maximum 50 ring guage, that is being made well at the time (with the exception of Sancho Panza and Guantanamera)

Won't buy:

- most ELs. It will need to be a very special amazing cigar for me to get it now.

This is almost a full turnaround from my buying habits of five years ago.

Great thread.

Won't:

- Monte Edmundo - thoroughly unimpressed everytime I pick one up

- Cohiba Piramides Extra - unless I finally try one that's actually worth the price point.

- Most EL's - as I concur with most other opinions previously stated.

Will:

- PSD4 - stick is been a great staple cigar for me.

- RASS

- Boli BF

- Cohiba Mad 5 Genios - this stick is one of those right on everytime. Great dessert cigar.

I'm back indeed!

Smoked a couple Monte GRs from different boxes. Not impressive at all.

Last one was new year's eve with a couple great BOTL, smoked side by side with a 2008 (or 2009?) Monte 2. M2GR was good, but the regular Monte 2 blew it out of the water. Absolutely no comparison to me. The others who smoked them simultaneously felt similarly, although perhaps not as strongly.
