El Presidente Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 For a multinational, HSA are the worst copy writers on earth
Nino Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 For a multinational, HSA are the worst copy writers on earth Sounds like the usual literal BS translation from the samesuch BS Spanish used by HSA to put me to .....
Ginseng Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Yeah, That is pretty bad. Honestly, I'm not even sure what they're trying to say. I might take a crack to rewriting this. Anyone else up for a little contest to see who can write the best copy? I'll put up a few sticks to make it interesting. Wilkey
Orion21 Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 If the cigar is as good as the writing we're going to have a lot of disappointed people who were looking for the "peerless passion" of this cigar. Lord, how hard is it to hire someone who is fluent in English??????
Ginseng Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Lord, how hard is it to hire someone who is fluent in English?????? Right. Heck, I'd do ALL of their copy writing for a box a quarter. Wilkey
CaptainQuintero Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I quite like it lol, it's the complete opposite of the sparkle sparkle of the NC cigar world.
chr0nic Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Sir, we need to translate this blurb *Google Translate* Good enough.
nikesupremedunk Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Ignoring the absolutely ridiculous and verbose language used, that paragraph is only 2 sentences...!! That second sentence reminds me of the new Batman movie... just noticed how many commas are in the second "sentence". are these not that good or what? are they that bad?
canadianbeaver Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 So you take exception to the peerless passion provided by the first Figurado that is now here to stay? Kind of picky, pushy plus friggin' foolish aren't we?
LGC Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I'm sold. I've been searching for the perfect summertime cigar with the prestige and price of a Cohiba... but with a little EXTRA more than a typical figurado can offer!!!!!! If you can stare at the band w/o sunglasses on, then I won't be caught dead with one in my hands.

El Presidente Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 For a multinational, HSA are the worst copy writers on earth I want to wallow in summer at full steam with this luxury proposal of choice HSA marketing.......beg Jose Candia to come back!
KurtE Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Sir, we need to translate this blurb *Google Translate* Good enough. Haha this is definitely the truth!
mk05 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 All I gathered was that HSA strongly advises against enjoying these at any periods other than the summer time.
winelover Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I don't see where the problem is? X2 Also nobody reads the literature and Cohiba LE's don't need marketing IMO.
El Presidente Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 The real question is: "Who reads this stuff?" Poor suffering distributors and retailers who have to put up with this level of verbose incompetence :rotfl:
Dbone Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 That defiantly does not make me want to purchase the cigar. Poor marketing and customer profiling. Sorry, I don't want to wallow in the summer at full stream. And if it's only a summertime gift, well... summers half over for me. God forbid, they should describe flavors and finish..... set some expectations. I mean we're talking about most prestigious habano brand.
cigarros Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I've seen this stuff few days ago. Mistake in number of Festival. This cigars were presented at Welcome Evening on XIV FdH this year.
CanuckSARTech Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Geesus. I always laugh at their stuff. I mean, seriously??!?! You can't find enough cigar aficionados around the world that are more fluent than you, H S.A., in English, to be able to proofread and make sense of your wordings? Freakin' pathetic, IMO. Offer some poor bastard a couple of $K, and some nice boxes of pickings, and then have things done PROFESSIONALLY and COMPETENTLY!!!! Oh wait....this is H S.A. we're talking about here, right?!?!!? Just friggin' unbelieveable. And....on a side note...."wallow in summer", the perfect summer treat, etc., etc., etc. Well, it's August! Summer's almost done! Where the hell is the mass release of these?!?!? Oh yes, that's right...these were only released/announced at this past year's Habanos Festival. So, we won't see these until Christmas 2013.
