pedromendes Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I know that Trevor posted here some time ago about the challenges of keeping the site going, but I was hoping he had found a way. Sadly, just now, I noticed this: "UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THIS WEBSITE WILL NOT BE UPDATED" Trevor, on behalf of the thousands of us who have benefited from your hard work and dedication, thank you. I hope a way is found for this incredible resource to find a new life.
Rushman Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Sad --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.631864,-87.070642
Puros Y Vino Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I thought there were some volunteers that were adopting a marca to keep it updated. Wasn't that the case before??
Colt45 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Whatever the reason, and whatever the outcome, I am, have always been, and will continue to be extremely grateful for Trevor's unbelievably unselfish and giving contributions to the world of Cuban cigars (aside from just being an all around great person). It started as a labor of love, and should never be a chore. No matter what, thank you Trevor! And thank you Alexander!

If Trevor ever needs some assistance with the site he can count on a lot of people raising their hands.
Scdalak Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Thanks for everything Trevor, your website was crucial during my initial learning years about all that is Habanos..
canadianbeaver Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Thank you Trevor, I have to say I think I look up info on your site every week if not more. I volunteer to work on this site any day, any time. My new obsession with world travel and RE's could be a resource, and my Toronto herf-o-dudes can do my research!
Mr.T Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 That's really sad to see. Trevor, thanks so much for all your hard work, dedication and to your contributions to the world of Cuban cigars and lovers of the leaf!
Vcool Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I'll echo everyone else. Its sad to see, but at the same time thank you for all your efforts. The site is like the rosetta stone of cuban cigars.. or some other important document... magna carta? Either way. And, like everyone else... If there is any way to help to keep it going let me know.
dB69 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Endings are beginnings. Trevor, thank you very much for your hard work and good luck with something else!
cottierm Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Thank you so much Trevor. All the very best, Michel
sactochris Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I refer to the site on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day.
melies Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Thanks for the site Trevor, really the best work that has ever been made for an habanos site
Habanos2000 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 What a monumental piece of work Trevor has compiled. Even if it stays as is, there is no other reference source as detailed. Trev, thanks for all your hard work! Well done.
beamer Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Wow. As always, thanks for the hard work. Trevor, if there is anything we can do to help please let us know.

Strada Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Thanks Trevor for this monumental piece of work for the world of cuban cigars. Your site is a bible to me and plenty of other aficonados I am sure. I want to say that I am willing to help keep this ressource alive. Please let me know how I can do so. Thank you Trevor
ramon_cojones Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I like how this turned into a let's thank Trevor thread after a simple question was asked lol. Btw, thanks Trev.
TankerT Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Dude. That's terrible news. But, can't blame Trevor. It has to be a ton of work. All I can say is thanks Trevor. I love your site. There's nothing like it. Hands down one of my favorite resources on the net. Right up there with Google and Wikipedia.
Colt45 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I like how this turned into a let's thank Trevor thread after a simple question was asked lol. I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, but what was the simple question? Trevor could start updating his site tomorrow, and would still deserve our thanks.
Smallclub Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Trevor I volunteer to work on the project, if I can be of some help… Collecting info, monitoring web sites, whatever… just ask!
ramon_cojones Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, but what was the simple question? Trevor could start updating his site tomorrow, and would still deserve our thanks. What I meant to type was discussion, you know about continuing the site. Where did I post that Trevor wasn't deserving of gratitude for this enormous resource? There was another thread in which he started which I believe we already went through this exercise.
nikesupremedunk Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 thank you trevor. still check it out from time to time to look stuff up!
Colt45 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Trevor is taking a well deserved break, during which he will consider his options regarding his excellent site. But he does want us all to know that his intent is for the site to continue - under his guidance, or Alexander's - one way or another. This does not affect his being a member or moderator here - he'll keep us informed Safe travels, and enjoy your vacation Trev!
