El Presidente Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 CCW is one of the finest pieces of contemporary Cuban Cigar work completed. Trevor should be roundly lauded for his contribution to the great hobby of Cuban Cigars. I have an inkling of how much work goes into accurately maintaining the site. I also have an inkling as to how frustrating the lack of industry support can be. Have a great break Trev. I hope someone picks up the ball and runs with it. Regardless, your work is testament to your passion and commitment to helping others
chr0nic Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Love the site; it's helped a n00b like me many times- even today when El Prez posted the 'Partagas Special'. Fantastic resource. Safe travels, and enjoy your vacation Trev! Amen- I hope to catch up for another cigar (or 2) before your pilgrimage! With a little luck some of the other boys can make it, too!

MRN is also great but CCW is an informative up to date resource that has helped me a lot. All the best to Trevor in his new ventures!
DougB Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Thank you for all of your hard work. I hope you get to enjoy some down time.
celtmick1984 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Has been a regular resource for me as I've learned about the world of habanos. An invaluable contribution that I hope will be revived in due season. In the meantime, all the best and thanks to Trevor!
jacktarnold Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 I've loved the website. I wish I would have found it sooner. Trevor thank you for all of your hard work. If help is needed in the future I would jump at the chance.
Professor Twain Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Trevor, whatever way you go with this, thanks for your efforts to build this amazing resource. I for one would be willing to pay a subscriber fee to help support the maintenance of this treasure trove.
thechenman Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Trevor...I was sorry to read this thread and discover that CubanCigarWebsite will not be updated going forward. I wanted to thank you for your hard work and dedication to this hobby we all share. Your work and website have been an invaluable resource for me since I began smoking Cuban Cigars in 2009. Years later, I still find myself visiting your website on a regular basis. In short, you have my gratitude. I hope that in time, your batteries may recharge, or that a collaborative effort develops to help restart your contribution to our community. To paraphrase what Rob so succinctly mentioned earlier...its a thankless job when you get no cooperation from Habanos SA. Enjoy your vacation, and may your well earned leisure time be filled with great cigars, fine wine and the company of family.
sactochris Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Does anyone know if he is looking for, or would be willing to let someone else take it over? I have a friend who maintains websites for bands for a living. My thought is that perhaps it could be converted into a paysite with a very low monthly subscription fee. It would be a real shame if the site isn't kept up and running and kept current. Trevor has done an incredible job creating a truly amazing resource and I can certainly understand if he's burnt out on it. Someone needs to pick up the torch and run with it.
Colt45 Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Does anyone know if he is looking for, or would be willing to let someone else take it over? Alexander (ZeedarTeretz) had been working with Trevor for some time now. Trevor relinquishing complete control is an option, which I believe they will consider. They'll keep us informed.
