ChanceSchmerr Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hello Everyone, As you know I posted late last year about my awesome visit with Guy (laficion) in Calvisson while I was in port in Toulon over my Deployment. Anyway, I also promised at the time that Photos would go up when I was home.....and now I am home......so here is the photos! Enjoy! Guy enjoying a good cigar at the table, with Guy's Favorite Christmas trappings in the background . I thought to bring him a good Canadian Whisky that I knew he'd never see in France....none better than Alberta Premium! Guy and I are both Cat people. His cat reminded me of my family cat that I hadn't seen in months...very nice! Not sure if the clock is accurate at the time I took the picture, but we did stay up pretty damn late! My delicious Bolivar Corona....with the very shiny band! (has to be an 06) Guy prefers his cigars Naked.....I certainly can't argue! A restored Pigeon Hutch on the side of house in Calvisson - Just all kinds of cool! Guy's Cigar Lounge - something every man can aspire to. I treasure those hours we stayed up here smoking and chatting, Guy! The Amphitheater in Nimes - the clouds make it look kinda ominous! This has to be one of the cooler statues I've seen on this deployment.... The Maison Carree, the other spectacular Roman building in Nimes I love the detail in this Temple! The gentle stream emanating from the ancient spring and fountain in Nimes, very peaceful to walk along! Guy leads the way towards the Fountain Gardens.... Yes, those eyes frighten me too..... This place must be really nice in the Spring/Summer! A couple of cigar-smokin' buddies - Didn't realize that Guy was stepping on the curb, here! You could hardly tell these jokers were smoking the finest Partagas Lonsdales Andorra could provide I like this picture the best! The Golden gate just frames it nicely! Chilling out in a nice cafe outside the Amphitheater! How did I not get hauled in here before leaving France? If they had seen my driving, they might have reconsidered......... There you go, fellas! A wonderful visit, encapsulated in photography! Guy, once again you have my thanks!

That's one heck of a collection of empty boxes too! And Guy, you must be an honourary CF member now, if Chris let you wear his pair of our oh-so-stylish shades!!!! LOL.

And Guy, you must be an honourary CF member now, if Chris let you wear his pair of our oh-so-stylish shades!!!! LOL. Hey! I love my issued-CF Ballistic Sunglasses! Those things got me through the whole deployment! So what if i'm the only one on the ship who still wears his.... Guy, you certainly live in a beautiful part of the world! I have to second this - You can't beat the South of France for beauty!
