El Presidente Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Back from Singapore....Great couple of days...I am a wreck. If I am on the "Highway to Hell" then I overtook a lot of cars over the 4 day weekend. I and 4 good mates flew into Singapore Thursday to catch up with a host of other Singapore mates. The backdrop was the Singapore 7's rugby tournament. 24 teams fighting it out on the Padang of the magnificent and historic Singapore Cricket Club (1850's) which is my "Home away from Home". It just happens that my good friend Manu is President of the Singapore Cricket Club and we were entertained for the weekend at his half way line box which not only had a spectacular view of the tremendous rugby (24 teams from around the world) but a never ending supply if ice cold beers, wine, spirits and food all served by a bevvy of beauties who were ultimate professionals and each of whom I offered a job at some point over the weekend I was at my best after a shaky start having forgotten my camera, underwear, travel docs, overseas currency.....pretty much currency of any kind, socks, one shoe and mobile phone....which I found one day later in the shoe I did take. Long lunches a plenty. Cigars taken on the decks overlooking the Padang (field). I caught up with Wishnu Bitang from the Connoisseur Divan which is always a delight. Friday night there was absolutely pumping with a great band. I also managed to catch up with Monte and some of the lads there....great to see them! The nights were long with no finish before 5am. We were up at the crack of noon each day to start the process again. Wonderful 4 day weekend to blow off some steam. Unfortunately I never managed to get to Jimmy's but will do so next time. Thanks to Manu for laying on the ultimate weekend

Habanos2000 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Rob, I believe you inadvertantly posted pics of the new Czar HQ.
DrunkenMonkey Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Prez, Well done. Rest up well for the next trip. You know we're all counting on you. Your willingness to sacrifice your own sleep, shoes, and mornings (afternoons?) without hangovers for our vicarious enjoyment will not go unrecognized if there is a God. Truly inspirational.
