KB24 Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Second favorite issue with the Michael Jordan one being my all time favorite.
riazp Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 the francis ford coppola is my personal favorite
cigcars Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I ordered their issue #2 from Ebay because their descriptions of the massive popular Cubans gave me many dreams of acquiring Havanas one day...and Lo, that day has come!
Skitalets Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 The SNL one, or is there a new one coming out? Haven't gotten anything in the mail since the SNL issue.
riazp Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 the new one is out, the havana issue...finally something acutally related to cigars!
Puros Y Vino Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 SO far so good on this issue. Been reading it today. The hotel and restaurant section is very helpful. This is what their magazine needs to have in terms of content.
laficion Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Ya. They went to Cuba, ate a third of a meal, drank a third of a glass of rum, spoke a third in spanish and only had sex a third of the way before smoking a third of a cigar and rating the whole experience an 88.

Colt45 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Enjoyed it very much - very well done all around.
warren516 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 They rate the discontinued La Gloria Cubana Tainos as the top churchill in the blind tasting this month....To bad people aren't going to be able to pick it up.

Hash Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 The issue with Fidel on the cover is my favourite.
Rehman Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Mine's the one with Sylvester Stallone on the cover - but only because it has my name in it, on the letters page.

laficion Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I've been subscribed to CA since the first issue in 1992 and I've enjoyed the magazine very much but in the last few years, less and less about cigars , more and more about a certain lifestyle that doesn't inspire me. Since a year or two now, too many pages in every issue about Marvin's pastime ,.... Golf . I have nothing against Golf when it's in a Golf magazine. So, a few months ago, I simply didn't renew my subscription.
sg1234 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I have spent most of my free time in the last 2 months researching Cuba for my honeymoon in March. Then CA releases this issue. It's cool to have my research verified, but I should have waited to start planning. A good chunk of it is in the magazine.
maverickdrinker Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 i have to say a lot of the information in the latest ca is very useful, particularly the hotels. no mention of el laguito though.....
Colt45 Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 no mention of el laguito though..... I believe that the three Havana factories mentioned are the only ones open to tourists without an appointment.
SCgarman Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Ya. They went to Cuba, ate a third of a meal, drank a third of a glass of rum, spoke a third in spanish and only had sex a third of the way before smoking a third of a cigar and rating the whole experience an 88. Actually, I believe they they only smoke the first inch of the cigar, then they rate it based upon that!! HA HA, What a laugh!!
rfenst Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 They rate the discontinued La Gloria Cubana Tainos as the top churchill in the blind tasting this month....To bad people aren't going to be able to pick it up. I snagged three boxes of 10 a couple months ago after learning they were to be discontinued. Got another box somewhere. They are still around and keep popping up here and there. Terribly underappreciated line of cigars. I'm still trying to find a box of LGC No. 2 somewhere...
