Day 1 of 3 scheduled for the move

Within a few weeks the new place will be HOT :fuel:

....I have a dream ;)

Rob, I'm pretty sure local zoning doesn't permit you to keep a harem of Cubanitas in string bikinis, rolling your custom cigars 24/7.

And I'm sure Lise would object, unless you also hire a few cabana boys...

So with the (I assume) bigger humidor and warehouse at the new place. Will the czar be keeping a bigger stock at hand in the future?

Refering to the lack of availability at the czar-store lately when it comes to brands such as Rafael Gonzales, Quai D´Orsay, Saint Luis Rey and La Gloria Cubana?

It really isn't a case of limited space for those cigars but rather limited PCC supply which I assume is a PCC purchasing decision or Habanos supply situation.

Then again, when we have access to good supplies (and quality) of that stock it flies in the space of hours to our backorder members and so is never placed on the store.

Unfortunately I can't see the situation improving in the short term but am always hopeful.

are there pics of the new place floating around on the forum - would live to see the new a improved HQ of the czar empire...

We have just finished packing boxes and are enjoying the last cigars and wine on the deck.

I / we need about 10days to fit out the new place in the manner I have envisioned and I promise to do an intro

video.

I will indeed miss this place as it is home. So many great times, so intimate. Still, I can't wait to be able to host a regular party for 40-50, to accomodate our growth in the fields of wine and ShooAway, to provide Smiithy an office!, to hold casual (deck) or serious boardroom meetings, to have my son working in shipping alongside Kurt, to have a wall for my flyrods, a spot for my Montesa in the foyer, warehouse cricket games, a fold out bed, dart board, dedicated film area (wine and cigars), room to be professional when need be and lads as the way we are. Simply a place to realise the next chapter of dreams while taking the past decade to a new level while maintaining our persona and heritage.

Thanks to all the Czar team for today. Tomorrow will be brutal. Saturday worse but we will be operational Monday and at home in a few weeks.

Thanks also to mate and landlord Greg Hutley who has turned over 1000m and is a believer in the dream. His passion and skills in transforming a tired warehouse into a thriving hub of reprobativity ( if there is such a word) need to be acknowledged. As most good things... It started over a few bottles of wine and cigars.

and finally Lisa & Di. Everything for the move organized to perfection. I look forward to seeing Lisa junior playing on the forklift before long :-)

See you all on the other side!

Best of luck to the whole Czar team on your move, Rob! Looking very much forward to seeing your new Czar Compound.

From your description, it sounds like you have just about everything planned out. Don't forget about an "transient" office for Ken (broom closet) ;)

Sad to hear about the move, my wife has friends in Brisbane and I've harboured a dream for a while now of having a smoke on the deck with you guys if we ever make it over.

Best of luck getting the new place the way you want it.

Another Chapter or rather Book, cheers Rob.

You just know that the housewarming party at the new digs will be nothing short of EPIC!! :buddies:

Rob, I know you're all excited about this move to bigger premises, but have you that of the people that you are affecting? Now that you are gone, the bathhouse down the road is going to lose so much business, they may have to close down!

It was a big day but everything went well. I took a few pictures, nothing great but I'll try to post them up tomorrow. The new place is already taking on personality and when Rob , Smithy , and Lisa finish tweaking a few things it's going to be great.

The new deck has views out to the horizon and for being in the centre of the city it's surprisingly peaceful.

Can't wait to see pics of the new place, sounds like an awesome place.

Well as promised here are some of the first photos of the new diggs.

I'm sure much better photos will follow but for now this will give you an idea of the new home of club Czar.

Here is a shot of the main storage area, as you can see it can also double as undercover parking.

I'm sure Arty will have a spot reserved for his Maserati.

Rob and Smithy saying many thanks to the super human removalist guys.

The Ayala lads having a rest.

The sisters were not just doing it for themselves but spent the whole day making sure that things went where they were supposed to go.

Steve and I had a great time playing hide and seek around Lisa's desk. Actually for some reason no matter how hard we tried we just couldn't get the top to drop into the base locations.

After a while we just did what Lisa said and what do ya know, it worked.

You may ave noticed that the new paint job matches the forum colors very nicely, nice job girls.

Kurt was a great help, he worked so hard that his shoes fell off.

Here he is showing a bit of leg on the porn couch.

It was a long day but there comes a time when you just can't put off that cigar any longer.

Ah the serenity.

It was a privilege to be one of the first to break in the new deck.

There's a lot more window dressing to do but when it's done the new deck will be the best place in town for a quiet, or not so quiet smoke with good friends.
