to be honnest, my best cigar was the new H.upmann half corona,

it had quite a special taste.

the worst cigar was the Montecristo gran reserva... that was a bummer.

the reviews (photo's) can be seen here and here.

PL magnifico. It was the fifth one that I have smoked and the first in the last 6 months. It was by far the best, most flavorful cigar of the month and the best one so far.

'02 Partagas Lusitania Cabinet selection.

It made clear the benefits of buying and aging my own cigars.

I smoked a SCdlH El Principe last week that really suprised me. I've never had one that was anywhere near this good. It had some tangy fruity flavors that I've never tasted before in a cigar with some nice macadamia nut like flavor as well. The best short cigar I've smoked in some time.

It's got me thinking about making a box purchase.

Have the recent El Principes been smoking this well? Or did I just get a special one?

A toss up between a wonderful Trinidad Robusto T and a Partagas Series D. #4. Both were excellent examples of what I hope/want the remaining sticks in the box to represent.

I think I smoke great cigars all the time. There has not been standouts on the good side. My normal cigars have been great, others, such as the test cigars were the low points.

I recently opened a cab of '06 Party Shorts which I expected to be fantastic but are what I consider about average. I have been inhaling a box of '02 La Puntas which have been top drawer. I have killed most of the box in a couple of weeks.

The best have been the:

'02 La Puntas

'01 RG CE's

'05 Monte Esp #2

This is a tough question. I can't give only one answer.

- Monte A (-10) was excellent. The most unforgettable flavours were mouthful of rich honey in the end of the first third and also vanilla from start to finish. I was also amazed that the cigar didn't taste young at all. This was my first ever A, so it's easy to remember.

- Smoked also always excellent Partys - Corona (-02), Lonsdale (-01), Shorts (-07 & -08) and SdC3 (-07).

If I should pick only one box of these mentioned, I would take a box of Party Lonsdales and Coronas...

Boxes that I wouldn't buy based on the samples I have smoked during the last 30 days are:

- Saint Luis Rey Churchill - Nothing wrong, but a bit too mild and simple for my taste.

- Diplomaticos #2 - Boring. Same **** as Party P2. Maybe I just can't smoke piramides.

- RyJ Churchill - Well, the same explanation as with SLRCs.

If I were a morning smoker, then these all could be smokable, maybe. But I'm not.

Partagas Lusitania. Smoked it in Kiawah Island last week while playing Osprey Point. Wonderful smoke.

By the way, played Ocean Course, site of the 2012 PGA Championship in 20-30mph winds. Almost unplayable...........
