El Presidente Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 What was your best cigar of the last 30 days? ...the one experience you still remember
ajgagnon Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Just had the big Cohiba Maduro 5 (Genios, I think). Man, what an experience of dark chocolate and rich coffee and cream. Mmmm!
redlir Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 What was your best cigar of the last 30 days?...the one experience you still remember Have to say it was an RnJ Cazadores.. a real eye opener for me. Smooth not harsh, but loads of power. Deep into the 2nd third it started to get this heavy cooking chocolate/dark coffee flavor. Loved the strength too. Tons of oily patches on it.
SCgarman Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Please don't flame me but it was a non Cuban! A Coronado by LaFlor Dominicana. TONS of leather and coffee and ranks up there with some great Cubans. Very good for a Dominican cigar and if you can get one definitely try it.
Nocoins Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 My first Diplomaticos No. 5, which was from Feb 09. Great little cigar with interesting and very different flavors as compared to the box of No. 2s I've been smoking. I want more.
kaleehb Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Sir Winston with friends after hosting a wine tasting this past month. The whole thing was great!
bc8436 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I had 3 great cigars in April, but I think a Monte #2 from '07 takes the crown. There was a crack in the wrapper at the tip too, which forced me to take a larger cut than usual, so I was really surprised by how great the cigar turned out to be.
shrink Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 A week ago, I was ready to declare the Por Larranaga Robusto RE the best of the past month. But the Ramon Allones Estupendo RE I smoked this weekend set a new high-water mark. Without doubt, one of the most enjoyable cigars I've ever had. The construction, burn, draw and smoke quality were unimpeachable. The flavor was classic RA, with sweet wood, dried fruits, and some nuttiness in the background. But the quality of the tobacco, and the resulting smoothness, richness and complexity were second to none. Every draw was pure Habanos bliss, and it remained so down to the last inch. This wasn't a strong cigar by any means, in fact I'd describe it as medium bodied. Still, it dominated all my senses, and was completely satisfying. Bravo, Ramon!
sblevit Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 No question - Mag 50 LE 2005. Smooth, rich, creamy, nutty and all sorts of wonderful.
Mnasrin Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 siglo VI. Dunno when its from as i bought it in the 3 per box. Was very good with sweetness and creamyness like all the siglos. I had one like a year ago but that was not good. quite harsh and strong. So i let this one stay in the desktop humidor for a year. It was really an experience.
ZinZan Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Sir Winston. It was my 1st and damn it was good now i understand the type.
pedrodepacas Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Have to agree with Naz Siglo VI, followed by a Dip #2 as a close second.
cigcars Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 *A rarely found, rarely had El Rey del Mundo lonsdale thanks to directions of a friend on the forum. Smooth, wonderful, heavenly...to be reminisced again and again...and again!
headstand Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Thursday night: Partagas P2 from a Czars Partagas Party Pack. This is strange, but I got savory sage and thyme with butter. Roast chicken anyone? Beverage: Havana Club 7 yr.
Holysmokes Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 For me, it's between a Cohiba Siglo VI or a Ramone Allones Petit Unicos (Canada Regional Edition) Those cigars were very good!
frenchkiwi Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 not one great cigar. secretos ok, reyes ok, no.4 ok etc. i remember a very young ERDM demitasse that was Not ok. i need to start smoking more and not just thinking about it. and commit over an hour to smoking a decent-sized cigar. hard with a one year old running around!
aes8 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Haven't smoked much lately but I really liked the Dip 4 I smoked for the Myster Cigar No. 3 (Ok, they are almost the same thing) The Monty No. 4 is not in my regular rotation but it could be someday
gigabyte056 Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Magnum 46 from MAR 08, hands down the best I had all month, (9 days in), btw the mystery cigar was a dip 2, the dip4 is a petite corona.
sharks Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Bolivar Royal Corona my last one of the box was great! Sharks
