First my friends, thank you for the kind wishes... no need to stop them now!!! -LOL

This defines the camaraderie of a cigar board. I see people with tastes and opinions like mine, and people whose tastes and opinions could not be farther apart from mine, all well wishers. It is easy to dislike a guy like me! I am not without my faults, unfettered opinions and commentary. Some of the banter around here can get pretty heated, yet some of those whose opinions are least reflective of my own are almost always amongst those who will compliment a good point made, or thoughtful piece of writing, and share their well wishes.

Not long ago a member of this board sent me a few cigars. We talked a little off line and shared some opinions on matters of cigars and other things. He sent me a Cohiba Reserva to try, knowing I would never buy one for myself. Why; for reasons little more than my "helping out the new guys?" It is amazing the generosity of many a member here. I have sent cigars to absolute strangers more times than I can count and those people, once strangers, are now on a long list of friends. I can't tell you how many cigars I have received in return, most certainly of higher value than what I have sent. It is just what cigar lovers do. One friend of mine, when I commented about wanting to get into a group deal on some Diplo 5's said he'd picked up a box for me. When they arrived at my house I once more asked what the total was and he simply said, "catch me next time!"

Friends that I know from the cigar community are now amongst the best friends that I have. Thank you for all for being a part of this community and for being amongst those that I consider my friends and thanks for the birthday plug.

I was gonna' smoke that Cohiba Reserva today... and do nothing else! Never works that way. I fed the horses early and went to the feed store for some hay cause it was lookin' like rain at the ranch today! I am glad it didn't, horses and rain don't mix; not if you are the guy with the rake and shovel anyway.

I did want to smoke something with a little age today and went for a '95 Punch Punch. I have never really been a PP fan but I got these from Davidoff Geneva a while back with some mid-nineties Cohibas and they are a real pleasure to smoke. Later in the day I downed a brace of Cohiba Exquisitos from '03 or '04, I don't remember now. No one talks about Exquisitos much. I don't smoke a lot of them, they are not a very good value for a small cigar, but when they are on, you want to smoke'm and smoke'm often. I was running today, so no pictures.

It was a good day for smokin' and a good day overall. Lady Piggy made me a nice shrimp and linguica pasta for my grub and a carrot cake for dessert. The horses were happy, the dog and I played with about 12 of her 25+ toys and for a day I was at peace with the world! Thanks amigos.
