El Presidente Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Following on from Nino and Guy's comments I too have fallen out of love over the years with the mainstream Habanos festival. I know personally that I love catching up with the people I really enjoy spending time with and more and more I am doing it at my place over a series of parties and afternoons on the deck and favourite Paladars. Who wouldn't like to spend time here Our views from our private terrace in Havana. Fits 120 people. Some custom cigars are always at hand at the front door. Des loves a good Custom cigar There are custom cigars and there are "Custom Cigars" This one is finished with a second Candela wrapper which is hand carved. Our four double bedroom apartment comes with six staff including two waiters, three cleaners and one of the best chefs in Havana. Always time for a band and a few friends popping round. Great to catch up with Jose, Hamlet and his lovely wife Jeanette who is due in May. Small accident but you can't keep a good man down! Small trip to the hospital only to find I know the head receptionist. What a surprise Needless to say Amaya is invited to a shindig. Stuart Fox, Pepe & Rob Fox The Fox boys, Andy Ryan (next to me), Des, Greg having a cold beer on an afternoon. The precursor to a great night at the pad. All in all a fantastic week of 5am finish after 5am finish. I am happy to say that the flag representing the true essence of FOH and cigars flew high and strong. I look forward to doing a private tasting on the deck next year with Andy, Stuart, Rob, Nino, Guy, Alex, Jimmy, Simon, ken etc. That is one event I would love to film!

Ken Gargett Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 i hope we are booked again for next year! but there appear to be people there that were supposed to have no idea that you'd be in havana and even if you were, no chance of finding you? trust me, for some of us, those photos were FAR more revealing than anything fev is 'alleged' to have sent.
