Wow- I don't know how anyone could fall into a trap of buying these. First, the glass top. Second, no 2009's like that. And third, the quality just seems poor. I guess some people are really unexperienced and should not be buying cuban cigars. It is more than an embarrassment.

the vast majority of people, not being as obsessed with the topic as those here, would have no clue. they want to buy something decent and they have heard of cohiba. beyond that, they'll have no specific knowledge. it is how people get away with selling this. if no one was buying...

the sad bit is that it may put a lot of people off cubans for good. others won't care. they'll continue to buy whether fake or not.

Bagamas producers of "real cuban cigars" could makes too better ones! May be another one will like USA post-embargo's (like russian's diplomatic cigars)??? Why not?

The percentage of people (like us!)who like to educate themselves on their hobby or habits is miniscule so it's no trap to them, they are peobably happy they could try something so sought after globally.

True- I guess I was just shocked. Like most here, I have knowledge of cc's about legitimacy/ quality and the adverse side. Hopefully one day this counterfeiting will stop. It is sad- because many out there will never get to experience a genuine cuban cigar and the beauty it has inside/ out.

Well I guess this is the same with all hobbies out there- but for some reason I will always be defending fine tobaccos and alcohols.

I am afraid we will never see any shortage of counterfeited cigars on the market. Too many people are uneducated on the legitimacy factor of Cuban cigars and to the untrained eye, these fakes do indeed look like the real deal. For the price of some rubbish tobacco and a few labels, the people selling these fakes are making too much cash to stop one would think.. The people smoking them are really none the wiser to these cigars.

You know what they say..."Ignorance is bliss."

Ah the classic glass top! The worst part is that some innocent person might pick that box up for a loved one and not know the difference. The heathens that prey upon the unsuspecting, its ridiculous.

Ahh, I love the baby-**** green wrappers!

Keep in mind that we all have to start somewhere. Most people in the USA have never seen a real CC, let alone, know how to spot fakes. I bought my first CC last summer in a liquor store on Grand Cayman. So, 8 months ago, I would not have known that there was a problem with these. I probably would have thought that the glass top would be nice to show my "prized" possession! Thanks to all the fine people on this forum and the sharing of their knowledge, I won't get taken advantage of! You all have brought me a long ways since last summer!

i dont see what the problem is here and why you are making fun of them.

It is very clear in the photo that the sticker says:

"Guaranteed"

Only a real cuban maker would be so brave as to put that on the box.

Com'on guys! Who would guarantee a fake???

Granted, they do not look like what i have in my humidor,

which only makes me question my source even more....
