  1. I talk a lot about me "not" being a collector. Yet, like many I suppose, I hold a place in my heart for my "last" box of cigars. This is my last cab of Partagas Lonsdales. I am a practicing genocidal madman when it comes to the extinction of cigars. The other day, was the official first day of the last days for this box of cigars. I never regret smoking a good cigar! -Piggy

  2. okay, i realise that this goes perilously close to the no US politics rule and any mod is welcome to delete it if they wish to - but would it not be nice if we could all realise it is simply a bit of humour and not go ballistic. there are no prizes to the first person to go ballistic. https://www.facebook.com/inthenowrt/videos/578195305664176/

  3. ECA 03 Number 2 These are nic bombs. Second one from the box and both have hit me like a freight train. I've been smoking for 18 years and few cigars have knocked me down like these. Cinnamon, chocolate, black coffee, leather, and earth. Complex and lovely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  9. Upmann Magnum 56 EL (ELU JUN 15, PSP grade). Box has acclimated for a month, so I threw caution to the winds and dipped in a first smoke. The cigars appear to be outstanding, with rich oils and good construction. The fraction of the cigar covered by bands is a bit silly. Rob described this cigar as "extreme sports" -- and posting this right after having finished the smoke, boy was he right. Quite possibly the most potent Cuban cuban cigar I've smoked. Happily, though, more of an intense Upmann profile than the general / chocolatey EL profile. You'll pardon me if I go lay down for a minute...

  10. Fiver of Upmann Petit Corona from an outstanding BOTL @FHFinster and also a straggler finding its way in the box!!The wrapper shade and oils on the Upmanns are amazing - got to show restraint and let these rest! Not tied either Upmann PC or the Sancho Non Plus

  19. That's what it's like at every baggage carousel. Pushing and shoving like it is absolutely necessary to stand 2 inches away from the carousel. Last time I came back from Malaysia in February, some idiot decided he wanted to stand right in front of me at the carousel. Being on business class, my bags of course came down the line first. So when I had to push past him to grab my bag, I took great pleasure in swinging it around and cracking him right in the plums.

  41. Xikar 5 count travel humidor, which will now live in the car. Monte 5s fit nicely doubled up in the mid section, the slight curve making the end slots more suitable for singles. JLP Conservas in this case as a short filler ash is easier to manage when driving (that's the theory anyway...). Not that I'd do that anyway, as it's illegal, obviously, officer.

  44. Don't wish to misunderstand this statement. Restate it so a 'pig' can understand it and perhaps I will reply to it. In general: Folks, I am not new to forums, nor am I young. I can write for hours but it is not in my best interests (always) to do so. I will pick and choose my arguments (if you don't mind). My goal in posting here, beyond my own amusement, is often to educate and even change minds. Some of you have criticized me for this, whether it be cigars or politics. Okay, I can take it... You guys post what you want (within the rules) and I will do the same. But frankly, unless I have minds to win, I will not likely expend the effort to convince ideologues. It is just not worth my time. I think the best way to store cigars is my way! BUT, I am not willing to destroy the community to prove it. I can be passionate about it, without carrying every banner to the battlefield. I hope you all understand this concept! I am a political zealot! I have to walk away from much of the detail of many of these threads for my own good, and for the good of the community. Cheers! -Ray

  45. Arguing with socialist sympathetic sycophants is a waste of your efforts my friend... There are those around the world that will blame the USA for everything! If we fight anyone, it is our fault. If we don't fight them, it is our fault... If our interests don't coincide with their interests we are always wrong. I don't give a damn anymore! While I love and respect my many international friends here, their country's position on what my country does, I could care less about. When we separate our personal relationships for ones of nationalists, from my country to yours... stuff it! None of our counties are perfect, yet no one wants to talk about the good we do. With 100+ (I am guessing) counties trading with Cuba (just so that they can have their own Caribbean whorehouse and a cheap place to vactaion) there is nothing that these "higher moral standing" counties could do with Cuba. So if you are judging the 'result Cuba' on anything other than Cuban communism, then you can look at your country and call yourselves failures! Of course Cuba still gets the majority of their food and medicine from the US, humanitarian aid is not embargoed... But that does not matter. I hope the embargo ends my friends and you guys can all enjoy the sight of fat, white, US tourists on the beach, with their iPads and bottled water... Then, you might actually see a middle class in Cuba, when the family of commie thugs become fertilizer. You will see Micky-D's and Walmart. And as the country finally slips from the hands of a dead, slave-state socio-economic plan based on fantasy, you guys will go right back to blaming the US for "destroying" your happy slave-state island... and personal discount playground! Me, I don't think you want a free Cuba (many of you). You want your quaint little whorehouse island to remain cheap so your middle-class incomes will impress the locals... like it has done for decades now. The place looks prime for a new Trump tower! Be careful what you wish for, when you are thinking of yourself and not really the Cuban people! My money is on the populace loving to work in an American based establishment and the corresponding dollars that come with it! We gave Cuba its freedom from Spain... and it is my guess that they won't see freedom again until we give it back to them. If the cycle stays the same, they will again get duped by the false god of socialism, and the whole cycle may just start again! It is my hope that in the last 50 years they have learned something the sycophants have not, that my own countrymen don't apparently know, that is the false god that is communism/socialism is an old, dead theory that leads to slavery. We shall see! -Piggy

  46. Well Ken your views may change when a country 90 miles away requests your biggest adversary at the time to deploy dozens of ICBM's and point them directly at you.. At least the US is trying to restore relations, ask Turkey and Russia how their relationship is going? I'm an American and our **** stinks just like everyone else's. I'm not saying the US is right but come on man it's not like we are talking about spilt milk here, as you said this is still a very sensitive discussion. The blame should be on Communism and the Castro regime not the US.. We never have and never will support any Communist party and for good reason.

  47. If Castro was so concerned about his people he would go out of his way for President Obama who is creating a new path to diplomacy between the two countries. Cuba has a long history of not helping itself. It didn't start here and doesn't end here. Cuba can do business with every other country in the world. Only Israel still backs Americas embargo in the UN. I'm sure Cuba could do just fine with all the money they received from Russia and China right? Cuba destroyed its economy with terrible policy. It didn't need the help of the embargo. Did the embargo destroy all of their business? What did you think would happen when you pay the same salary to someone who gets a 10 year education and works their asses off every day to someone who sweeps the streets or drives a taxi? By the way what did Castro think would happen when he just decided to take everyone's property and business for the government and exile the very people who were able to build those business' up? Ending the embargo will not bring direct change to the lives of Cubans on the island. Until the actual government makes major policy changes the people will continue to starve. I'm happy Raul has made some changes in regards to private business over the past few years but there is a long way to go. Anyway I could go on and on and on but half my family, the better half, is Cuban and this is a contested topic between generations tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  48. I had to jump on the NAS bandwagon, Rob. Basically, I agree with ayepatz. Tell us how old it is. Also, I feel like a toddler having their favourite lolly taken away and having a substitute forced on me. We all know that doesn't work! Plus, these companies 'coincidentally' seem to always bring out NAS products with appealing packaging. I feel like my mum is telling me, "come on Johnny, have this bright shiny Macallan bottle with no age on it!" all over again. Excuse me, whilst I go upstairs and pour some Macallan 12 tonight!
