MOB April 14 Lusi with and iced Intelligentsia El Diablo. Partagas is hands down my favorite flavor profile. Between the Lusi, 898, Salamones, and Shorts I need nothing else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

High proof and sherried for a good piss-up: Glenfarclas 105, guaranteed widespread memory loss the next day for $200 worth of it. Otherwise for a more sophisticated and orderly proceeding, try the Glenfarclas 21 Year Old. I think you might be able to get about a couple of bottles of this for $200.2 points

Great win today by the eagles ...A case of good prevailing over evil...That hit by Silvagni on Cripps 70m of the ball is about as average as you can get ..He is looking at an extended holiday from the game A very enjoyable way to finish off the weekend2 points

Have been into a little bit of retro rap (amuses my kids no end) Tupac Shakur has been my focus of late. What a great mothers day song. You can't beat these lyrics "And even as a crack fiend, mama You always was a black queen, mama" superb song. One of my top 10.2 points

Received a box of Connie A and PLPC yesterday. Today I smoked the Connie A. I have never had one but based on what I have read here, I knew I had to have a box. You guys have never led me astray on reviews. Aroma at cold was all barnyard and a bit of what I would call sweetness. Draw at cold was a dream. First third was not so good. When it hit the half way point, it really opened up. I am not able to put the flavors into words very well but I had spice and a leathery goodness with the rich, earthy flavor I love in a Cuban cigar. I nubbed it. It was a true pleasure. It is still quite young, LUB Mar 15, and I bought them to put down for a nap. Cant wait to revisit them in a year or more. Cheers! Mike2 points

If Cuba had oil or they made cheap **** for Walmart the embargo would have ended a long time ago. Your governments have no problem dealing with Iran, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia etc. There are far more despodic regimes in the world. Cuba is just unlucky enough to have nothing to offer you.2 points

BPC with a cold brew. Maybe not the greatest cigar in the world but it hits the spot every time. This is my most "go to" CC...i want to try many different kinds but I would be just fine buying one of these boxes over and over again. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk2 points

I recently bought a jar of these and they've been resting for about a month. Hadn't tried one yet, so thought I'd have a go for the review competition. I have smoked one 2009 Noellas before and didn't really like it, so wasn't expecting much. I had bought them mainly for the pretty jar. Construction: Very nice looking, with a ripe and inviting smell. The cold draw was a little too tight for my liking. At first: Very tasty stuff! Nice! Aromatic with some sweetness. Creamy fruit, like dried apricots in oatmeal porridge. I'd guess Upmann if it was a blind tasting, but that's easy to say when you know what it is. Did feel a bit young, with occasional hints of earth and cedar. Later on: A bit of a kick, with some mongrel bite. Flavours darken, turning almost autumn like. Like a moist forest bed, with some notes of chanterelle. It's not an easy smoke, takes some work to keep it going but it burns nicely and most importantly the smoke is cool. At the end: Some sweetness and caramel pops out. Almost tangy like orange and chocolate. After the burn went out (last quarter or so) it turned pretty bland and wasn't very enjoyable. Conclusion: A nice cigar, with potential for greatness! I really enjoyed the flavours, but would like for it to be a bit smoother with lighter draw. A few years in the depths and then dryer climates before smoking might sort them out. I was planning on selling them off, as I mainly just wanted the jar, but now I think they're keepers.1 point

Had a small wineador overcondensate as the door wasn't quite closed for some time, to the point there was water pooling on the bottom which of course the lowest box absorbed. Aghast, I pulled out all the sticks, rolled them in paper towel to absorb as much surface moisture as possible and put them in a small tupperdore with beads. They dried out fairly well though I figured they were goners and probably mold to hell. Well a few weeks later they seemed fine though some of the wrappers were wrinkly and the anillas stained. Fired one up and while it had a bit musty note to it (may have been in my mind alone), smoked fine and all in all was quite enjoyable. Fast forward a year or so and the remainders are actually quite good smokes and without that initial mustiness. Yours should be fine!1 point

how about us? though no mention of any connection so unlikely. not necessarily US$. that was my thought as well. no reason it is US. obviously with the embargo, unlikely, for sales locally. however, what about from cuba itself (as in purchased there)? been a bit since i checked but i certainly bought boxes there with stickers with $ signs. and that font looks very familiar, though the memory could be playing tricks. the member concerned mentioned a cuban history. why not a family visitor or friend from/to the island who has picked these up as a gift? and that would help explain the lower price.1 point

Do you realize that the USA are the 3rd or 4th supplier of Cuba with more than 10% of imports, despite the embargo?1 point

Got lucky and found time for two great cigars today! The first was a PSP H Upmann Magnum 46 GEO ABR 14 from our host paired with some Zacappa 23 at Double Dogs with my brother Ralph... The second was a PSP Juan Lopez No. 2 ARG OCT 14, also from Rob and crew, paired with Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva on my back deck with my brother Bart... I call that a good day! Cheers! Bill1 point
