cigarros
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger donated $553 worth of cigars to his own office last month "to be used for recognition of staff service (and) legislative service to the People of the State of California, or to be given as commemorative gifts to visiting dignitaries," a new public filing shows. He regularly orders the cigars, a spokesman said, each in a cellophane wrapper embossed with the governor's signature in gold. PigFish
Kalifornia... 100 billion, yes... with a "B" in debt! This guys soulda' stayed in Hollywood. Farmers not getting water from the delta because he is too big a weak suck to take on the EPA. The breadbasket of the coast dry because he is more interested in beggin' for fed funds than running a sovereign state. Raising withholding taxes to cover a shortfall that will never be made up. Energy problems, water problems, budget problems... it is more important to this guy to get your dog fixed than to balance or even have a budget!!! Just when the people thought that Gumby was bad... this bone head took over. How sensitive he is about the environment!!! Flies his Gulfstream EVERYDAY from Santa Monica to Sacramento! I would rather see him and Al Gore greased up in Crisco, battling it out in a kiddy bath for Queen of the environment than seeing this damn fool hold a seat in government. You guys want him... he is all yours! He does not even have the balls as governor to smoke in his own office. He goes outside!!! Terminator my ass! I am surprised "his *****" allows him to smoke at all. - the Pig

Jesuscookies
I wonder if it's the governer's problem, or the state's... Assuming the Governor is the "Manager" for the state. The responsiblity to fix the issues fall squarely on him. He is not the only one to blame, i'm sure there is plenty to go around, but having a useless inept Goverment that is more concerned with special interests and re-election funds is 99% of the real problem. ucla695
I used to look forward to seeing him at the monthly cigar dinner at his restaurant, Schatzi on Main. It was great to get together with other cigar enthusiasts and enjoy some good food, drinks and, of course, cigars. He always made a point to stop by every table and welcome everyone. That was well before he threw his hat into the political arena. Unfortunately, the restaurant went down hill after he sold it.

California had a budget problem well before he became governor. As far as not smoking in his office, you try doing that here and see what happens. Not only is it against the law, but he'd also be mobbed by all the libs here.

paesano
I love the guy as and actor but it stops there. Being a cigar smoker and even having a cigar tent at his rally's. He actually voted for the schip bill in the US that will eventually destroy and entire industry for the US. It was a $10 per cigar tax and dropped to a $1.00. From this point they can and will raise it anytime they choose to pay for anything they want. I can't forgive him for that. Plus the other ridicules bans like not being able to smoke a cigar in your apartment or condo. BTW, The cigar sales tax when you buy a cigar in Cali is 61.53% on top of the cigar price and he still voted for SCHIP. This is a must watch. http://www.cbs13.com/video/[email protected] Capital Cigar Shop Bans Governor Schwarzenegger A Sacramento business owner is banning Governor Schwarzenegger from his shop and letting the governor know where he can put his signature stogie. "Tower Pipes and Cigars" owner, Mark Just, says he doesn't want the governor in his store because Schwarzenegger supported a health care bill that would have raised tobacco taxes. Just has since put up signs letting everyone know the governor is not welcome
thechenman
To each his own really...I don't want to get into politics here as that would be unwise...however, I don't think the Termiantor should be banned just for supporting SCHIP. The owner of Tower Cigars can do what he will as it is his business, but I myself have a few cigar smoking friends that also support SCHIP. While I am not a fan, I find that SCHIP is affecting me less and less. I've already amassed a large stock of DR and NC cigars prior to SCHIP, so I find myself buying DRs and NCs only when I visit a cigar bar or my local B&M to enjoy a smoke. To be perfectly honest, I have for the better part gravitated away from these sticks and smoke mostly Cuban cigars now. If you buy Cuban cigars, you can aboid the SCHIP entirely. Maybe we will see more of that in the future. Oddly enough...I don't view that as a bad thing at all.
