As to the cigars, I'm finding myself in the bizarre situation where I don't have enough low end cigars to smoke in between the high end cigars. I still have a bunch of Siglo VI boxes that I paid between $700 and $800 for, and Esmeraldas that I paid like $240 for. I hoarded those, but I never thought to hoard D4's, Epi 2's, etc., because I thought they would always be available at relatively cheap prices, so I ran out of those. Psychologically, it is killing me now to pay almost as much for them as I paid for my Sig VI and Esmeraldas. 5 1

It's not that I can't afford replacements, I just can't get my finger to click the "buy" button. 2

But when I first started, I did not really have a source, funny thing is the mall by my house had a Dunhill store, and the guy that worked there sold Cubans out of the back.😂 At that time, I was paying 20 to 25 bucks for a Robusto. Then the good days came where I did sources and were paying $8 to $10. So paying $20-$23 for a Robusto now it’s kind of like going back to the beginning.😂 But the days of buying three and four boxes at a time every few months is over!

I started in the early 90's as well. I used to backpack around Europe during summer vacations in college and I would smoke Cuban cigars while there. Some of the shop owners I met in my travels were nice enough to give me their phone numbers so I could order from them over the phone and they would send the cigars to the US. 10 years later, the internet came along and just like that, everyone was doing it.
