Interesting formats there with the Cotton tail and the Grand café. Perhaps it’s because those are still made in DR at Hendrik Kelner’s Tabacalera (?). I got some Daughters OTW and some Cypher formats yet to try. The traditional line also has some Peruvian leaf in the filler which gives it a unique characteristic that really complements the Dominican formula. DOTW are great as well, just haven't had one that makes me chase it like I did with my first cotton tail...that blew me away. 1 1

My favorite of the current Partagas lineup. Never had one that was less than very good. If we ever meet I’ll give you an OR that is sure to blow your mind. 2 1
Popular Post Lucas Buck Posted Sunday at 04:32 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 04:32 PM ‘00 Montecristo Robustos EL - another of the inaugural Edición Limitadas, the first "maduro" cigars from Habanos. Smoked a few of these and wasn’t inspired to buy a box as the RyJ & especially Partagas blew me away where these were just very nice smokes. Wish I would have bought at least one box now as these just get better and better. Toasted coconut, dark roast coffee & velvety dark chocolate. The wrappers on these burn so wonky some called them fireproof back in the day and this one was rough. Had to touch it up a few times. The only thing that kept this stick from a perfect score. Still a dream smoke and glad I have a few singles left. 24

It's like we don't get the same P2s over here, I've had a couple of good ones out of maybe two dozens over the years but I keep coming back to them since so many experienced smokers love them... 2 1

habanohal Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Great flavor of a day. Best in years that I can remember. Started with a Nudie PC to a Monte 4 and ended with Nudie Petit Pyramid. If you smoke in the right order it becomes flavor orgasms. 2

Mind you they come from that box: It's hard to see with this picture but they had put those nice colorado wrappers on the top row and those underneath were much more claro... I had never seen two rows so different in a same box🤯 I only took the good looking ones given I've had bad experiences with the early batches of 52s that happened to be that clearer in shade. Anyway, I've just put this one down and it's been a stunning 2h+ smoke, probably my cigar of the year so far 😍 6
