What do you guys like? Great Dip 4's and Punch Petit Corona's are hard to beat from this period. Good value for money and intense marque flavours. There really isn't a bad petit corona. Still, variation box to box is a hazard so always insist your vendor select the box/make recommendations from the stock at hand.

Recent Petit Coronas that I have enjoyed from the 07/08 period have been: Diplimaticos No.4 Por Larranaga Petit Corona Bolivar Petit Corona The Montecristo No.4's have been hit or miss for me from this period thus far.

I have always got no less than 4 PC choices in open boxes but I cut in a lot of sub-PC's as well. Currently PLPC (different years), SLR PC, Upmann PC's, Punch RS12 and Monte 4's. PLPC's are still my faves.

Im still new to the habano, lol . Then in that case, from my limited experience in the subject matter, I like the Monte 4s.

I love Bolivar PCs but they are unbelievably inconsistent and after enough cabs that are 'off', it can wear you out. Great when they are right, however. But lots of age required. PLPCs are amazing when they're 'on' but they need serious aging to get their full potential. Okay when young---If you can wait, however, they'll really surprise you pleasantly. I really miss the Partagas PC in 50 cabs. It is the only discontinued one in this size that I believe deserved to survive.
jfury76 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I am enjoying my most recent purchase of a Punch RS12 cab from NOV 08. Very tasty notes of stewed fruits, leather, and easy spices after the midpoint.

bassman Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 07 & 08 Dip #4s have been very nice, but MAR 09 Boli PCs are the best I've had recently. Can't comment on PLPC or PC del Punch as I am smoking 05s & 02s respectively. Those are very good too. Also liking 98 SLR PCs.
sepp Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 MC # 4s and PLPCs. While one 08 box of the MC #4s was a dissapointment this year I have three others that are stellar. The PLPCs speak for themselves when you try one that is on and they have been on!
