I always keep some opus on hand for when I want one. The small sizes. Not anything like the Super Beli and bigger. So it would depend on what was in my humi. For me I love Partagas. So it really would depend on what you want to have on hand.

Without hesitation the Partagas Coronas. They have a well pronounced creamy taste, with aromas of cedar, earth, perhaps anise, and a long finish.

The Opus I have had were good, but just seemed artificial.

I gave away all of my Opus X's even before I came here. Overpriced and not very good, in my opinion. All pepper.

So I'd go with the Partagas.

Partagas coronas would be my first choice. I have had 1 or 2 good Opus X and I'm trying to age some for future consumption, but all the Partagas I have smoked have been very good. My general opinion of Opus X is that they are over priced and not a great smoke when young. I don't know if they will improve with age, but so far I haven't had the urge to smoke any in the past year. I think the whole release strategy is brillant and the reason that they are so sought after since everyone says they need 3-4 years before you should smoke them.

Yes they do improve with age. Two to three years they really start to change.

I have not been impressed with the Opus that I have smoked. I am an unabashed Partagas ***** and I wish there were some coronas around. I think I got the last box that Rob had.
