El Presidente Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Simon returned to work this week after two weeks away with Chickenpox (what 20 year old gets Chickenpox?) With Lisa away it was a welcome return as heaven knows we could use him ....I can't be expected to carry this operation by myself However yesterday.....his first time on the deck in a long while.....he refused a drink or a cigar. Not only that.....his dress sense has changed....now into high neck zip ups? Naturally concerned I grilled him sensitively (...he is my nephew). "Sime.....no cigar? No wine?" "No Rob....I haven't smoked a cigar or had alcohol in a couple of months. I am also off red meat" "Sime...whats with the Thunderbird outfit?" " What Thunderbird outfit?" "Sime...the turtleneck son....the turtleneck?" "Its called Fashion Rob" "Its called midnight park toilet attire Sime....." You be the judge
anacostiakat Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Did you bring up the family name and all? Sounds like an exorcism may be in order. . .

Guest rob Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I have a feeling that the conversation went elsewhere after that exchange

Jokermann Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Is there a woman fueling this newfound resistance to all things fun?
Fuzz Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Is there a woman fueling this newfound resistance to all things fun? I was wondering the exact same thing. There's gotta be a woman involved for a dude to give up red meat. Call a Mohel to fix that jacket.
laficion Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 AH come on guys, give the kid a break, remember when you were young, we all overreacted. But you never know, have him checked anyway
jevb Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 However yesterday.....his first time on the deck in a long while.....he refused a drink or a cigar. Not only that.....his dress sense has changed....now into high neck zip ups?Naturally concerned I grilled him sensitively (...he is my nephew). I want to see an intervention! post the video?
SamuraiJack Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 zip up mock turtle necks are great. I have about 80 of them. But turning down a habano? no sir.
Colt45 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 You should have known something was up when he started ordering his cucumber sandwiches on gluten-free rolls.
jeromeroselli Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Haha! Who's the blonde action figure guy? Hysterical.. I've never had anyone ever turn down a cigar on my deck. Even people who have no idea how to smoke a cigar will still smoke one with me. Must be phase..
SmokinLightning Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Even money a woman is involved. Well, hopefully it's a woman... you do leave him alone with Smithy quite a bit.
laficion Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 Even money a woman is involved.Well, hopefully it's a woman... you do leave him alone with Smithy quite a bit. C'mon guys, your killing me, I'm pissing in my pants.
Morientes50 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I think going veggie-tarian is popular with the youth now. My niece just turned Veggie-tarian. Its a shame cause I used to take her to eat bistec empanizado (a huge cuban steak) and she used to eat almost half of it (not bad for a 10 yr old girl). Now she gives me a speech about saving animals and being healthy etc. What is the world coming to?
anacostiakat Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I was wondering the exact same thing. There's gotta be a woman involved for a dude to give up red meat. Call a Mohel to fix that jacket. The Seinfeld Mohel. . .
smk819 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 I believe there is a 12 step program for this malady.

You be the judge I am laughing so hard applying my version of Rob's accent to this exchange I don't know whether to **** or go blind! I loved the Thunderbirds... I grew up with that show! Now I know that you guys compete rather aggressively with folks like the Kiwis but you must admit that the T-birds are far to good looking and intelligent to be Austrailian!!! Present company excluded!!! -LOL

Bill Hayes Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 He would fit in well in advertising. We're all just puppets that dress funny.
