Guest rob Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 An '03 Sir Winston - it was those 'epiphany' cigars that absolutely satisfied me right from the start. It really was a highlight.
yossie Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 VR famoso and pipe tobacco mainly. You know I'm not a Christian
anacostiakat Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 An '03 Sir Winston - it was those 'epiphany' cigars that absolutely satisfied me right from the start. It really was a highlight. Well today is Christmas day here and I think it will be a '98 Lusi later. I started having a sinus problem yesterday and didnt think I was going to be able to enjoy anything today but it is better so I think that is what I will be going with.
Evo03 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Starting out with a Partagas Short. Maybe a Boli BF later.
Taino Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Wife might be pregnant so I didn't have a smoke having solidarity with her actual status. First time I'm happy for not smoking! Best wishes for everybody.
bassman Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Just finished smoking my first ever Punch SS#1, from FEB 02. Strong, full bodied, woody & a bit tannic. This is a cigar that I can appreciate more than I can like. I prefer earthy flavors to woodiness, but if you're a fan of the woody Punch style, this would be a great cigar to have.
habanohal Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Just finished a Monty ED RS. 1 hour and 11 minutes while watchin the new x files movie. 1st third a bit boreing but really turened flavorful after that
android Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Merry Christmas to all..."97" BCG last evening for me and a RA Belicosos this a.m. both very tasty. Edit for cigar addition post lunch...VR RE Espania (Maestros)
Tampa1257 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Started with a Partagas Short and working toward a Cohiba Robusto.
bobarian81 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 PL Lonsdale RE with morning coffee. VR Maestros tonight after dinner!
Alberto_Magnus Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Well this Xmas day is ending here in Italy so... ...in the morning I fired up an El Credito Robusto: a great way to start up a day. Plenty of aromas, nice smell of coffee and cocoa, perfect contruction, light yet pleasant. It's not a Cuban alright, not a Nicaraguan either, but a good start. The only flaw, at least in Italy, is the quality/price ratio: veeery low. In the evening, I got myself a very very good VR Unicos: a great smoke from beginning to end: cocoa, earth and wood for a magnificent smoke. And how good it smells. Great.
aavkk Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 unfortunately nothing today as my wife and I are leaving to London to see some friends in a few hours. Yesterday I was able to enjoy a 99' SS#2. It was so good I dont think I am going to smoke while away for 9 days. I will be looking forward to lighting up some great sticks when I return. Hopefully I'll remember what side of the stogie to light. Merry Christmas to everyone and a happy new year. Cheers, Alan
stargazer14 Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Partagas D4. They just LOOK like Christmas!
Ken Gargett Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 absolutely zip. family hardly drinks and certainly doesn't smoke (we have all the rellies at the sister's and if i pulled out a big smoke, they'd shoot me - plus we have several doctors in the family). chrissie day is always reasonably quiet. was going to fire up when i got home but just too tired. today, we have the boxing day test about to start. thinking of a little cohiba to get in the mood then completely agree with my skins buddy from DC, a 98 lusi!!
shrink Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Partagas D4. They just LOOK like Christmas! True. I use 'em as ornaments on the tree.
broozer Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 i haven't smoked today yet, but i'm heading to the pub in two hours and i think i'm gonna take an '07 BGM and a few others. bruce
Guest robustog Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Today I enjoyed a 1998 Montecristo Especial that was gifted to me in a PIF trade. I used my new Palio cutter and RP lighter I received today as gifts to fire it up. Very enjoyable smoke.
kilroy Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Today I had a PSD4 with a Stone Brewery IPA about 3pm... it was glorious!
Colt45 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Rather cold, very windy - no cigar today. But, I think I made / am making up for it with consumption of wine. if only I liked wine
gyosa Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 San Cristobal de la Habana El Principe ( had friends and family over - not much time ) , some Macallan 18 yr old Fine oak (muy excellente, btw....) some Macallan 15 yr old fine oak (muy excellente , tambien ...) wine and a few beers ..... had plenty of time for the booze ....... the nite is not yet over ..... -bk
Hoops Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 My first H.Upmann Mag 50 -- very nice cigar, especially for being so young (JUN 08).
bolivr Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 Boli Bonita. Happy to say these have come through an episode of being over humidified, growing mould and then being dried out a bit to recover. Seem to have all their bits of flavor intact. Phew
jadawin Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 tatuaje Cojonu 03 tonight. Unfortunately im out of CCs, otherwise it would have been a Cuban tonight!
neal875 Posted December 26, 2008 Posted December 26, 2008 An SLR Churchill in a beautiful white tube (which I did remove the cigar from before lighting it, thank you). The box date was 2000 and the cigar was just wonderful. Worthy of this special day.
