KB24 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 So what are we all smoking today? I think I might fire up either a Winston Churchill Blenheim or a Cohiba Siglo III. Happy Thanksgiving everyone in the states. -Patrick
sepp Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 A bit cold out today, but I have set aside a BRC for when I have to bundle up to do the BBQ later.
Homebrew Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 I had to work today. At least I love what I do. Of course it is light duty, just smoking meat, for the BBQ stand tomorrow. Got all the heavy work done by daybreak, and settled in with a Partagas Churchill DeLuxe 02. All I have to do is watch the smoker temp, and eat Turkey dinner,in about an hour. The rest of the day will be spent watching the smoker, smoking cigars, and drinking Homebrew) Have a great day. Dave (A.K.A. Homebrew)
Evo03 Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 I had a RASS from June 07 this morning. Smoking a HdM du Prince right now. Both very good.
Tampa1257 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Started the Thanksgiving Day with a early morning 05 Ramon Allones Emenincia with coffee, then took an hour drive to my sisters where after all the intros to the guests, I fired up a 07 Partagas Culebra with a glass of German Red Valckenberg Dornfelder, great medium bodied red that brought out the fruit of the Partagas such as Blackberry, Currants and Vanilla. After the Traditional Feast, I sat out in the Florida Room and enjoyed a 2000 Punch SS 11 that was rich and flavorful. It was strong enough to stand up after such a meal (Thanks "Curt"!). Much laughter and conversation so after dessert, it was time for a Montecristo No. 5. Now that I am back on a computer, it is time for my final cigar of this Thanksgiving Holiday and I have picked out a 01 Ramon Allones Specially Selected. Hope everyone had a great day! Tampa
Spartan Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 No CC's on hand but I did endulge in a nice Padron 3000 maduro

chuck1rar Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Tom U have good taste my man. Every time I am in Paris I duck down south to pick up a case or two.. But these days with baggage allowance, seem to have a built a massive stockpile in the cave in Paris and never get to enjoy the stuff...
anacostiakat Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I had a SIG VI and then a RyJ 2004 Hermosa #2 EL.
jaylax5 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I had a Trini Reyes in the AM and a '98 Connie #1 after dinner...both very nice and it wasn't too cold.
Cohiba007 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I only had one cigar on the day, slow day. Brought over a 3 pack for Sig VI's to my girlfriends house. One for me, one for her father, and one for her brother. Talk about sealing the deal
bassman Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I want against the grain & smoked two gifted & rather expensive NCs. Let's just say they made me appreciate Cuban cigars more than ever.
nem Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 I've been nursing a cold this past week, so I avoided smoking on turkey day proper. However, the girlfriend somehow convinced me to come along for black friday sales that began at midnight. As such endeavors are without doubt unbearable, I brought a trio of cigars along. I ended up lighting up a '00 Partagas Lonsdale outside of San Francisco's Forever 21 as I chatted with fellow brethren who too have been victimized on this otherwise charming night. Now I'm back and finally about to hit the sack.
Professor Twain Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 My son and I smoked very nice 2002 Punch Double Coronas. It is rare that I smoke such large cigars. It tasted great but I didn't have the staying power to finish it off, and it made the visit with my son memorable.
toasterhead Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 It was too stinking cold, but three of us lit up a nice PLPC each on the porch. Truly delicious but it was about all we could handle as we retreated into the warm house for more pie. Dave
perfectform Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 After dinner it was an Opus X Super Belicoso...One of the best tasting cigars but it was probably the worst performing cigar of all time...Go figure...
