Peanut Butter. Let\'s talk about it as a cigar flavour

Recommended Posts

Sitting here late afternoon with Smithy smoking some SLR DC's

I get peanut butter. He doesn't.

OK.....I have had a few drinks. However I find this to be a legitimate flavour in cigars (Remember Nice...Claudius?)

Who else has had Peanut butter and in what cigars?

This is a serious discussion :lookaround:

Choosy mothers choose Habanos.

Well, Skippy, this is strange because I just had this conversation last night. Two of us we smoking '06 Diplomaticos No. 2 and I was picking up a peanut butter flavor. Although rare, this wasn't the first time I had experienced this. I agree it is a legitimate flavor.

seriously? is your palate made of tarmac? i love the SLR DC (you know that - said love has helped put your kids through school). i have never ever encountered peanut butter. i hate peanut butter. one of the very few food items on this planet i detest. had there ever been the slightest whiff of peanut butter in any of my SLR DC's, you'd have had to pay the school fes yourself.

smithy has a better idea than you? is that not the most embarassing thing in the history of mankind!

I've never experienced peanut butter flavors in a cigar, ever. But then I never thought about it while smoking as peanut butter is just not something I have ever associated with cigar smoke.

But then I never associated wet cardboard or mushrooms with cigar smoke either.

Can I just say you are not very far from the mark :lookaround:

Is there a peanutbutter liquor that we are unfamiliar with here? :rotfl:

» Definitely a legitimate flavour, Rob. I had never felt it before those

Yesterdays cigar was the first time I had tasted the flavour in a cigar since Nice. I agree with the Honourable Ken Gargett that it is not a normal SLR DC trait. Still.....it was there in this example.

While I was drinking at the time.....I was under control ;-)

Seriously Prez, get rid of that cigar and have another one. Must be spoiled somehow. Wasn´t acid as well? Maybe you are still stick with the flu? has the liquor anything to do with that flavour notes? I doubt it.

I tried peanut butter in 2006 for the first time and my kids love it, not me. That reminds a time when I was talking about Habanos in Spain and a certain jackass in the audience started to claim that his cigar tasted like pinneaple from the Caribbean. What did you say?

My answer drove to many laughs: Better phone your doctor , make an appointment for an in_depth check of your palate. and .., in the meantime, put that cigar away and have another one. Better yet, find out where are you buying pinneaples lately.:-D what a MF..
