A friend on another board just called me asking for help identifying a cigar he rec'd as a gift/bomb from another board member. He said it's a Cuban Partagas torpedo and when I suggested it's a PSP2 he said the band on the cigar wasn't right, and didn't actually have the "Serie P" written on it like it's supposed to.

Is there another pyramid or torpedo from Partagas that features the regular band? My only other thought for him is that it's fake, which of course would be a real bummer.

Thanks!

The likelyhood that it is from the still widely available Seleccion Piramides box is a best case sernerio. The EL's would have a much darker wrapper as well as a EL Band on it fake or not, the EL band would be there. Since there was no mention of this band, then I would presume the cigar came from the 5ct Seleccion box.

These Partagas Piramides were OK, but nothing like or as good as the PSP2 IMHO.

I forgot about that Seleccion release, thanks for the help! I guess the person that sent him the cigar got it from a shop in Brussels for whatever that's worth.

Thanks!

here's what the EL's look like. im thinking maybe the 2nd EL band may have fell off so what you have is a Piramides with the regular party band?

through the years, the bands on my sticks pretty much fall right off.

hope this helps! :-)

With a first post, nonetheless :2thumbs:

Nothing like bringing back a 5 year old thread with incorrect information and terminology.

Thumbs up.
