Guest Warren Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 » Very impressive.... a great home for a bachelor, indeed! » » Now you need only one more addition... Shrink I hope your talking about a wine cellar with built in humidor , don't spoil the bachelor illusion . Congratulations Ken , when is the house warming , I can see a great place to dump a heap of Cigar buts next to that water feature:-D
broozer Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 rob, are you already breaking into ken's brand new house? i don't guess you need that set of keys then huh? bruce
yossie Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 » Very impressive.... a great home for a bachelor, indeed! » » Now you need only one more addition... You know why Ken hasn't married anybody. Yes, He is not interested in women in sexual meaning.:-D BTW, Australian house seems really big...
anacostiakat Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Nice! Congratulations! I take it pics of the "entertainment center" to follow? ;-)
Claudius Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Cool door, looks like an entrance to a Gentlmen's Club (in the English sense)... too bad about that ugly white and open kitchen...
Tampa1257 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 The house looks great, but please tell us that the furniture is from the previous owner because the "Art Deco" style of the 60's just does not go well with the modern appliances such as the HD wide screen TV. The chairs at the kitchen table look as comfortable as "Helga's House of Pain" (not that I've had any experience to know, but just saying ) and the kitchen does have enough space to totally re-do because those white cabinets and counter top have to go! Other than those issues, nice place!
brian1 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Ken Very nice pad but whats with the Fort Knox exterior, is that to keep out the Kangaroos and other creatures that can bite and kill you down under?
zuma Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Well.. congratulations to Ken! Really nice ... but being in bushfire country, I'd be wary of those gum trees so bloody close... you'd have to keep proper fire-breaks mate!
winelover Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Fantastic pad Ken. How many stories is it? He now needs a live in "maid"
habanablue Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 pimp o licious Ken, get some bunnies in there asap!
Ben Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Nice place. Though truth be told I dunno how you lot live up there it's too freakin hot. Which reminds me I've gotta go up to Surfers next week :-(
Ginseng Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Sweet, swingin' pad, Ken! Congratulations. :-) Wilkey

Ken Gargett Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 nice. i go away for a few days and return to find i've been broken into before i've even settled the thing. and the big door is to keep rob very much on the outside. there will be a small locker style thing set up between inside and outside. rob can put whatever cigars/wine/gifts etc he has in that. they will be reviewed and if suitable, he will be allowed limited access. rob, if i have to make space every time you are in he doghouse at home, you may as well move in. and take a good look at those photos. it will never be that neat again!
Ben Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 » Are you coming up for indy ? Sadly not, work all work.
GP012 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 To hell with the US, I'm moving to Australia. That's an awesome pad!
Ken Gargett Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 i should add that rob did not see (not surprisingly they were not on the agent's website) the photos from inside the roof and under the house of the numerous 8 foot snakeskins. i'd also say that despite the photos, i really had no interest in the place and didn't think it would be for me until i actually turned up at the place. within ten minutes, thought that this is the spot.

El Presidente Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 Our very own bagman, under the bridge expert, Cardboard Box King and Forum moderator settles on his new house next week after 6 months of living at his mothers :-D After the argument I had with my wife last weekend Ken... the timing is perfect....I may be in need of a house close by ;-) Yes...... Ken and I will be neighbours seperated by only a few miles Just a hint Ken....don't throw a cigar butt into the bushland. PS....keep the spare room made up and cut me a set of keys ;-)
shrink Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Looks like a jungle, mate. I'll bet there's a wild bore nearby!
