The Cohiba Dining Room Project

» That is really awesome! How hard of a project was it? I would love to do

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'm pretty pleased with it, to say the least.

To answer your questions:

1. As I make all the rules in my house, I have no need for her permission... Actually, she is a fan of a good stick every once in a while...though she usually resorts to those little flavored CAO buggers. Because I love her, I forgive her of that shortcoming.

2. As far as how much work was involved...We basically painted the bottom yellow and the top white, then measured and taped off horizontal lines (a laser level is most helpful here) and painted them black. Came back and did the verticals the same way. Then we put up a 1 X 4, plopped some quarter round/shoe molding on the top and bottom and painted 'er up with a nifty 14K metallic gold.

Of course, it was the wife's job to figure all that out, since it was her idea.:-D As I am a teacher, I generally serve in a necessary and meaningful supervisory capacity...I also suggested that we just do the old Juan Lopez band at first;-)

Ok...so the wife had this idea for a paint scheme in our dining room...

Turns out she picked up one my Sig VI Tubo's and thought it was "pretty cool" looking. The following is what evolved. It is nice sitting down with a glass of Johnny Walker and a habano in this room...
