Great value for such a complicated watch. My concern that preventing me from already owning one, is I don't think I could easily read everything on the dial. Big date watch is unfortunately more the reality today. 😞 Have you done a full service on it yet? I am curious one like that would cost today to service.

You're looking between $600-$900 for a full service locally.

03Hemi Posted November 17, 2025 Posted November 17, 2025 You guys with your Pateks', VC's and FP's are in a completely different world schmoozing down here with our cheap a** Rolex', Cartiers' and Omegas'. lol I'd be willing to bet everyone of you have a G-Shock too?
SigmundChurchill Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 A feeling of nervous excitement came over me when I got a call from my local Patek dealer today. Only to find out that they weren’t calling me to to tell me that my Cubitus came in, but that they have a different one to show me. Not to buy today but just to try on to compare with the one I ordered. It is rose gold, and has a smaller face, 40 instead of 45 like the one I ordered. Compared to… Thoughts? 1

I've seen a ton of hate (mostly from folks who would never buy one) about this release, but it's growing on me. I like the rose gold. There are plenty of great watches worn at 40mm. 45 seems massive. Go with what speaks to you. 1
BrightonCorgi Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 I'd rather have the 40mm. It won't go in & out of style as much as the 45mm. All the material choices are nice. 1

Chibearsv Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 I am certainly not an arbiter of taste but I prefer the look of the green face by a mile. 1

I have a Patek 6007G so clearly I'm okay with their controversial offerings, but I don’t like the cubitus that much. The 40 seems better than the 45, but it still seems a bit off. The only square watch I think really nails it is the Cartier Santos Dumont. 2 1
Fuzz AI Posted November 22, 2025 Posted November 22, 2025 Who cares about the watch?! My beef is with the choice of knitted pullovers! 1

Rhinoww Posted November 25, 2025 Posted November 25, 2025 The larger green dial is strong @SigmundChurchill 1
Popular Post Rhinoww Posted November 25, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 25, 2025 Well, I fell victim to a local estate auction with this Omega Speedmaster Professional Mark II with a Grey dial. 145.014. Made between 1969 and 1972. It will add to my growing collection of watches worn in space (not standard NASA issue but a second watch here). It will eventually get a new crystal if the scratches bother me. Interestingly the tach is printed on the underside of the crystal. What sealed the deal was a fresh looking 10/25 written on the inside of the case back, indicating a recent service on the very clean movement. Put it on the gizmo to get a reading. Looks okay. Beat error a bit higher than I would have expected with a fresh service but the rest is great. I mean she is no spring chicken. Always a thrill to pick up a new watch. Smoking an 898 to celebrate. 8 1

Opted out of case polishing? Dial is in great condition.

It definitely has some nicks and dents, but the starburst brushing and alternating high polish show up decently at an angle. (Below) The crisp edges certainly tell a story of not having been polished. Some of the surfaces had a textured finish that, after 50 years, certainly looks dulled. This watch was worn for sure but not abused. There are some interesting YouTube videos on some true masters recreating this mixed finish as new. Impressive cases when new for sure. The tooling alone they used must have been a small fortune. Still figuring out if I’m going to replace the crystal or just leave it as it is. The is a no longer produced or available tool needed to install a crystal - so I would need to fabricate one. Fortunately there is a fantastic vintage Omega forum to the rescue there …
StogieLoki Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 Can anyone tell me about this Chopard Mille Miglia? Buddy of mine doesn’t have paperwork on it and thinks he got ripped off but I dunno much about the brand or how to tell if it’s genuine.

The more I see this reference, the more it grows on me. Thierry knows what he is doing. Recall people weren’t enthusiastic about the Aquanaut when first released. Congrats to you!

I haven’t gotten either of them yet. 1
